F1 » Michelin confirms interest in F1 return

I would like to see a tyre which the drivers could push harder on. In saying that, I don't want to see tracks become one stop processions either. I hope there is a common ground they can find where a tyre degradation strategy is a factor but so the drivers aren't also out there just feathering the throttle so they're not concerned about burning them up.

F1 » Hamilton ‘never intended to disrespect’ in podium celebration

Ctd As I said, I don't blame Hamilton. The whole story is based around him being disrespectful, when F1 is being disrespectful by dressing these women up in whatever attire and parading them each race simply for the reason of objectification... oh and handing out champagne. Some women will find this fine, but others are already offended before they spray the champagne. That is the point. My missus won't watch F1 with me because she doesn't like the way it portrays these women, I tell her it's getting much better with female engineers and team principles and maybe the promise of female drivers but she flat out refuses because of the requirement of umbrella girls... well that and because it's boring.

F1 » Hamilton ‘never intended to disrespect’ in podium celebration

Buelliful .:
JD 002: Yeah look, I'm not the biggest Hamilton fan like many, but this isn't exactly a new issue and nor do I think he is at fault here. This sport has been objectifying women with the use of umbrella girls since its inception. If they really were concerned about the disrespect of women, they wouldn't have them up there in the first place. It doesn't send a great message to all the aspiring females out there. It's F1's version of 'sex sells'.
So, when the drivers spray champagne over their car designers after winning a race is that also a sign of disrespect, or are they merely happy and celebrating winning a race? Jeez, give the guy a break. He clearly was just celebrating a win. People are so quick to take offence for others these days when there was none there to begin with.
Sorry Buelliful, I think you missed the point. I don't see the spraying of champagne an issue at all, of course it's a cause for celebration.
