Igor- Lewis got to drive a top car because Mclaren thought him worthy. What more could they ask for in his rookie year, he finishes above Alonso and sets a f1 record with 9 consecutive podium finishes and was 1 point away from wining the title all in his first year in f1 making him f1's greatest rookie. Coulthard made his start with the Williams as test driver so like Lewis went straight into a top team at the time and drove the 2nd William car but had to give way to a champion in Mansell, Lewis doesn't give way to champions he beats them.

You say Lewis has gone straight into a wining car, so what, he set records and became wdc in the first two seasons if he had won nothing then i could understand criticism labeled at him but people like you would criticise Lewis no matter what he does, your a hater simple.

As for Button we saw how good he was at tyre management on Sunday by burning out his tyres within 6 laps lol, this tyre management myth is something created by the Jenson fan clu

Angelina im not american im from south of england and im not a vettel fan but do think he is better than the australian chap. My user name is to commemorate an event which took place in your great land in the year and the place in my user name, im referring to when lewis hamilton took on and beat a charging alonso. For me alonso is the best driver i have seen and i was so shocked to see a newbie tame and beat the spaniard in indianapolis i think i heard that alonso wanted lewis to move over but the young newbie just ignored his demands and did the business how i wish we could have another season like 07.

Yes Berger you are right Newey is the man that is making Vettel look good, without him Red Bull will be in trouble, love how he had manipulated the off the throttle blown diffuser and i'm sure he will come up with a alternative Aero design to replace the now outlawed system.

Clarkson talking out of rear again. Is he forgetting the Mclaren duo who are always fighting wheel to wheel lately giving us great entertainment. But must agree i have not seen a better two man battle than Rene v Gilles although i have only been watching f1 since the early nineties. I suppose Senna v Mansell was not bad and Alonso v Hamilton in America in 2007 with Alonso all over the rookie forcing him to defend for his life was interesting as well. TBH F1 was so reliant on strategy which Ross Brawn and Schumi rinsed to death at Ferrari it killed real racing like we saw in France in 79.

@ Taipan Hamilton finished above Alonso in 2007 although both were on equal points Hamilton beat Alonso on count back. But the bigger picture is that no way should a debutant to f1 even challenge a 2xwdc and a 2xwdc who was the reining champion when he came to Mclaren, and who had just twice back to back defeated f1's greatest driver statistically. For me this put Hamilton on a iconic status. Not only did he beat Alonso but he set a record of the only rookie to register 9 consecutive podiums. The thing is when Alonso came to Mclaren he suggested to Ron Dennis that having a rookie partner him could compromise Mclarens's wcc, well unfortunately for Alonso he compromised himself with his inability to beat a rookie and him being ousted by Mclaren with him claiming unfair treatment. As for Button, even with bad pit-stops, bad strategy calls and 4dnf Hamilton was still able to beat the reining wdc in 2010. As for 2011, i fully expect Hamilton to be Mclaren's no1 driver come the end of the

50, Hami and Massa was just a racing incident even complaints ltd (Stefano Domenicali) thought so, and there is no one quicker to run to the stewards than this guy. Yes Hamilton has been in the wars lately, but cant help feeling a lot the blame has to go to Mclaren for trying to be to clever with there strategy. It was criminal to make Hamilton do a one run in the pole shoot out in Monaco, and how can you short fuel Hamilton thinking that he would not have the pace in a race because he had a bad qualli when he is the quickest driver in f1 and most probably had more overtakes than any other driver. Mclaren has caused unnecessary frustration for a naturally talented driver hence his incidents recently
