MotoGP » Stoner 'by far the fastest man on the planet'

@ herewego, Thats not the first dig you've had on this forum at Stoner so its safe to say you are biased against him to the point that your comments are obsolete. I think Stoner finishing consistently in the top 3 at every race this year has proven that he can and has ridden around the Honda's problems every race. Watch most of the slow-mo footage and you can literally see the chatter front and back on the Honda yet he podiums every race, and thats a fact. As for Crutchlow, what a race Sunday!! Ride of the day by far. Mutual respect shown is also admirable. He deserves that factory Yamaha next year for sure.

MotoGP » Stoner controls Sepang as chatter continues

Stoner is just better than anyone else, period. Pedrosa is close but will fold under pressure as usual. The tyres being given the chance to coll off then reheat, repeatedly, is much harder on the carcass than going out and doing a race simulation. If you look at the data on the laptimes at you will see that Stoner is consistently in the mid to low 2min whereas everyone else can get there but only for one off laps. As for the Ducati and Rossi. They might get 1 or 2 podiums due to others falling, etc but I'd expect to see Rossi on a customer spec Honda or Yamaha within the next 2 years. That or in some form of rally car.

F1 » Vettel: I really didn't see him

In my opinion matt just because he looked at the mirror repetedly it doesnt mean that he actually saw Jenson, which is the statement he made. Has no-one here ever changed lanes on a freeway only to be hooted at for almost hitting someone slightly behind you in the next lane. We have 3 mirrors and rarely travel more than 120km/h so imagine how it must be when youre sitting only a couple of inches above the ground doing about 200km/h with all the noise, acceleration and adrenaline pumping. split second decision making is not for the faint hearted. Vettel is just better than anyone at the moment and thats that i'm afraid. A very worthy champion and surely to be named amongst the all time greats in F1.

MotoGP » Stoner expects strong Sachsenring

What people tend to forget is that stoner has got to where he is while not being on the best machinery. Ducati came out in 2007 with a gem of a bike but it still had to be ridden and no-one except him could do it. This year he has proven he is the fastest outright and can do the laptimes for longer than any of the other riders too. He just gets on with the job at hand, obviously when he explains why things may or may not have worked out he goes into a lot of technical detail, which I love because it tells you more the inner workings and sensitivity of these bikes as well as behind the scenes of what goes on in the pits. Some people may see it as whinging though. Each to their own i suppose. I have supported him from his 125GP days and will continue to do so IMO he is one of the greatest riders ever.
