F1 » LAST CHANCE: VOTE for your 2014 F1 Driver of the Year!

hunterman: Has to be Lewis who raced the best runner up I have seen in my lifetime and racing him in the same car. .
Let me think of some past runners up, Moss and Prost 4 times, Alonso 3 times, Fangio, Stewart, Senna, Schumacher all 2 times but Rosberg is the best you've seen in your lifetime? I can only assume that you're less than a year old RGT, which would explain quite a lot.....

F1 » F1: Kate Walker: And so it ends

" The past season has given us a fantastic intra-team battle for the championship, On track, we couldn't have asked for much better from a year utterly dominated by one car. " I could have! Was it really a fantastic intra-team battle? They had a great little fight in Bahrain for a few laps, then Nico was publicly lambasted (and fined) for racing against Lulu in Spa and never bothered trying again for the rest of the season. The only positive thing you can say about this "battle" is that it lasted to the end of the season, but with a car that was almost guaranteed to finish first and second at every race of course the "fight" was going to last until the end of the season.

Cont. And away from the less than epic intra-team battle things have been no better for F1. The year started off with the realisation that Michael's injuries were at best life changing, we have engines that sound like ducks farting, farcical double points at the last race to create interest among the easily bored, teams going out of business because the farting ducks cost a fortune, even the dominant car this year lapping some tracks slower than they did 25 years ago, Bernie bribing a court to get off with bribing someone else and to round it all off Jules is still in a critical condition in hospital. All in all a very dark year for F1.

F1 » Horner: 2014 one of Red Bull’s best F1 seasons

If I had to pick a team of the season it would be RBR. They started the season with a car that could hardly manage to string 3 laps together and ended up with 3 wins 9 other podiums and second in the championship. They developed their car better than anyone else and managed their drivers well even though there was plenty of opportunity for tension between them.

F1 » Hamilton: Rosberg and I will handle 2015 better

ProfessorX: Yeah, maybe not. But if Lewis' car doesnt keep burning down and he gets the brakes right where he wants them and he keeps focusing on race pace, you are going to see 2011 again.
If his car doesn't keep burning down (well that happened once this year) and he gets his brakes and his pace right we'll see another 20011? So he's going to spend 2015 driving into Massa? I'm phoning Felipe immediately to warn him....
