F1 » Perez hits back at Smedley

After watching the replays there is one camera view from quite far behind the incident that shows quite clearly that Perez moves a good 2 or 3 feet to the left, almost as though he was lining up to pass Vettel which was never going to happen because he was way too far behind. That's what caused the accident. Massa did move a fraction to his right, I'm talking inches, which seems rather strange but the contact would have happened regardless due to the distance that Perez moved to his left.

F1 » What we learned at the Canadian Grand Prix

kenny45: facts are there but not for emotions like this. I.M.O mecedes is making sure that niko becomes the champion. IF Lewis has one more dnf than we know for sure
Kenny did you fall out the stupid tree? Why would any team spend millions building a car then pay a driver millions to drive it, then sabotage his car so that he couldn't win? And if you really believe that it's favouritism why are Mercedes paying Lulu 20m per year and Nico 11m per year?

F1 » Massa insists win was possible

theoldgitspeaks: Not driving like that it was'nt, he had had a number of laps to get by and had failed, I think his move was desperate in the extreme, felt very sorry for Perez who had driven a super race with failing brakes and then gets penalised for "causing an accident" can't see it myself I've watched a rerun a number of times and Massa braked far too late.
So while watching the repeats numerous times you still haven't noticed Perez move to his left and into Massa? How very strange, time for an eye test old git.

F1 » Rosberg takes positives from extending lead

Walker, Since some (daft) people like comparing this pair to Prost and Senna there's a great story from '88 of brains out doing "speed" At Monza Prost qualified second behind Senna but found out early on in the race that his engine had a terminal problem. Instead of nursing his engine Prost turned every thing up to max knowing that Senna would try and fight him, which he did. After quite a battle Prost's car gave up at around the two thirds distance but Senna had used so much fuel fighting him that he had to dramatically turn down his engine to save fuel which put him under pressure from the Ferrari's, while fighting to stay ahead of the Ferrari's he tripped over a back marker with a couple of laps to go which put him out of the race and kept Prost's championship alive. A perfect example of a driver fuelled by a well functioning brain out doing a driver fuelled by ego.

F1 » Wolff sorry to let Hamilton down

George, I certainly think it was a big mistake for Lulu to start playing mind games with Nico, he's clearly not equipped to see it through. Since he pulled the "Nico isn't up for the fight" nonsense Nico has scored 43 points and Lulu has scored 18 points and has had a public meltdown, Nico has the measure of him on the mental front and he's doing OK on the driving front too.

F1 » Massa insists win was possible

JJJ: Well they could have won for sure, but then they botched the first stop, made an unnecessary 2nd stop while in the lead on tyres that according to Pirelli could run from Montreal to Vancouver,
Triple J, Massa himself said the second stop was necessary as his rears were shot and he would have been very slow at the end if he had stayed on them. Nice to hear a driver say the team got the strategy right, rather than pretend that the team gimped him......

F1 » Wolff sorry to let Hamilton down

George Zaidan: I read some where, where he is griping about 2 DNF, he probably need to have a chat with Vettel.
Yeah he had a whine about that, I don't remember Nico whining that he had 3 mechanical DNF's last year compared to Lulu's one, or the team orders nonsense that gifted Lulu a podium. Funny thing is I've never particularly rated Nico or been much of a fan of his, but he's grown a lot in my estimations this year. Anyone but Lulu, all I can say really.
