F1 » Hamilton: Mercedes 'can get there'

Zelda, Thanks for your continued fascination in my posts. The idea that all of a sudden people are tiptoeing around trying to protect tyres is a myth and comments like "I can't drive any slower" from twinkle ears don't help things. Look at the fastest laps from the last 3 Spanish GP's. 2013 -1'26'217- Gutierrez lap 56 2012- 1'26'250 -Grosjean lap 53 2011- 1'26'727- Lulu lap 52 Were you whining about tyres in 2011 when Lulu set the fastest lap, or was he being awesome setting a lap time half a second slower than what was set last Sunday? As for tyre degradation, Lulu's biggest loss of positions at Spain came in the first lap, now you don't need to be an F1 illuminati to know that tyre deg doesn't affect the first lap. It certainly didn't cause Rosberg to go backwards in the first lap.

Flasher, Allow me to answer on Richard's behalf, we tend to read Lulu articles just to have a good laugh at the idiotic fanboy comments. "only driver who can win in a bad car" "fastest driver of his generation" "best overtaker" "best at tyre management" "best development driver" etc etc etc Everyone of them fanboy comments, everyone of them nonsense of the highest order. If you want to see a current F1 driver at the top of their game have a look at Alonzo, Vettel or Kimi, Lulu is not in the same league.

Richard, Don't sell Lulu short he's not just the best driver ever, he's also the best development driver AND the only driver that can win in a bad car. (cough) Dave, Does your "Lulu is epic because he has lost less places than Rosberg" analogy include the 5 place grid penalty for Lulu in Bahrain? And imagine Senna Mk2 getting out qualified 2 races in a row by an F1 also ran, oh dear times are indeed tough for fanboys when they have to resort to Lulu is great because he's lost less places than his team mate!

F1 » Button: McLaren can make small step forward in Monaco

PCX Before the Spanish GP your belief was that Merc would block any passing by ruining the cars behinds aero efficiency and Lulu would win. The truth is he went from 2nd to 12th. Now we're getting, all Lulu needs is backing from Merc and he'll win in Monaco because he'll make the difference with front tyres. Lets be honest here, you'll use your imagination to come up with a story why Lulu should win ever race of the season, because you are a fanboy and logic just doesn't come into it.

Prof, I do enjoy your technical updates, last week we had "more fuel consumption means more power" or some such nonsense. Now we have "Monaco is more on the brakes than throttle" Monaco has never been hard on brakes! Think about it, slow speed track needs traction not brakes or aero! I think your theory of it suiting Lulu is based on you being a fanboy who's willing to grasp any straw that you can find.

F1 » Alonso remains wary of Mercedes in Monaco

Andy and OTOH, perhaps you should go to grandprix.com and read the full post race interviews because Massa and Domenicali certainly have the opinion that Lulu's idiotic driving (that he was penalised for) caused damage to Massa's car and that's what caused him to crash in the tunnel. They must also have their facts wrong, they should obviously have consulted the views of a fanboy prior to issuing a statement, silly them eh?
