F1 » Button: More than one year F1 deal was must

107SS2009: Both mclaren drivers seems to be on a two year contract MR F1 has been at it again, saying he wants the old engines back and doesn’t care if it’s the V8’S or the V10’S, he says F1 needs around 1000HP engines.
The old coot's talking sense for a change, I've been saying for years that around 1000bhp is what an F1 engine should produce. Of course 1000bhp would be easily attained by the current hybrid engines but that would require more fuel and we know that using fuel in F1 cars is frowned on these days, it's ok to use the fuel in the jets, and trucks that keep the show on the road but not in the actual race cars. Bonkers!

F1 » F1: Fernando Alonso Q&A

RoyO: Is it just me that, when I first saw the photo that accompanies this piece, assumed that it was a photoshop job? Even now I look at it and find it hard to believe that the heads (particularly Alonso's) haven't been pasted onto a set-up shot. A truly bizarre pose.
Clearly Alonso is checking to see if Ron has a heart.... He's still checking.......

F1 » F1: Alonso returns to McLaren to emulate Senna

JBfanboy: . Senna revolutionized racing he was against Lauda, Prost, Mansell, Rosberg, Piquet, etc. and ALL noticed him. You fail to realize Schummacher raced against him for almost 2 years but I'm sure you don't know that. Senna was not perfect but if you were a racing driver you would know what Senna means!
The only way I can think that Senna revolutionised racing was in his willingness to crash into people when it suited him, prior to his era crashing intentionally or otherwise was avoided at all cost because of the risk involved. As others have said an extremely fast one lap driver with undoubted skill but he had a massive chip on his shoulder, was convinced that the World was conspiring against him and ultimately was a dangerous driver. In saying that I do rate him as one of the best and wish he was still with us.

F1 » Dennis points finger at Hamilton for 2007 issues

Zizzu10: it was around 1/4 of a second faster than Alonso and Alonso was faster than Lewis in P1 and P2. And in Brazil all he had to do is beat one of the Ferrari's and become world champion he choked like he choked in 2010 and 2012
P1 and P2 are irrelevant as they were practice sessions IF you mean Q1 and Q2 they are also irrelevant as that was before the wrongly inflated final set of tyres were fitted for Q3 and the gap in Q3 was 0.668 of a second. If you really need to argue with me at least try and get some of your facts right fanboy.

F1 » Dennis points finger at Hamilton for 2007 issues

Welshie:
Taipan: No but they did "forget" to put air in his tyres during qualifying in Japan which forced the FiA into placing an observer in their garage in Brazil to ensure fair play.
I never heard about that Tai, what happened?
Sorry Weshie I was in a rush this morning it was the Chinese Gp not Japan. Alonso was sent out in final qualifying and his rear tyre pressures were all to pot (this was the race that Ron said we are racing (against) Fernando) the result was Alonso qualified 4th almost 3/4 of a second behind Lulu. The Spanish Motor Sport Federation petitioned the FiA with more than 100000 signatures to ensure fair play at Brazil, in response the FiA placed an independent observer in the McLaren garage during the Brazilian GP to ensure parity. All true, that'll be why the easily upset are disagreeing with it! :p
