F1 » Hamilton united, just not in the union

George Zaidan: Here's a new one Bernie is tossing about, scraping Saturday quali for a Saturday race to chose the grid formation. There are so many things wrong with the idea that I wonder if this guy is trying to screw the F1 so badly that he or a friend or a group can pick it all up for a song.
I read that, I find it bizarre that he's convinced to the point of obsession that what F1 really needs is a qualifying overhaul. It's like the captain of the Titanic saying we really need to get that dining room redecorated, while up to his knees in water!

F1 » FEATURE: There are subs... and then there are super subs

I'd say the list of new drivers jumping in and doing really well is another example of the current cars being too easy to drive. I don't doubt for a second that some of these drivers are very talented but - in the last couple of years Magnussen, Kvyat, Verstappen, Nasr, Sainz, Vandoorn and I'd say Wehrlein have all come in and either scored points on their debut or if the car didn't allow that they certainly looked the part. Unlike 10 years ago when debutantes had been testing F1 cars long before they got on the grid today they come in with no F1 car experience and look just as good if not better than the guys at the front. That happened once in a blue moon 20 years ago now it's common place. Put any of the guys I mentioned in a Merc and I reckon they'd be on the podium because driving these cars at the limit doesn't seem to take super human talent.

richard: yes he qualified 27 th. he had never sat in an f1 car before quali. but in the race he charged up the field. from recollection he was actually in the points and then hit problems. however, he still finished 11 th despite problems.
You sure you're not thinking of someone else or another race? he rose as high as 3rd last for a few laps, other than that it was second last and mostly last. Brundle was second last at the end and had lapped Alex 4 times! Alex started 27th, 16 cars retired hence the 11th place.

richard: another driver who many overlook was alex caffi. in 1986 he got a one off drive in the osella (which rarely finished a race). i remember when i heard that he was driving , i said WHO?. bit from recollection, he was good in quali and put in a feisty drive to finish 11th. unfortunately for 1987, he stuck with osella and got nowhere so hs stock went down. but he does deserve mention.
Emm he qualified last and finished 11th (and last) only because of retirements, he was 6 laps down at the end!

Omega: So he disagrees with some of the things they discuss, so he would rather not be involved. So in other words, Hamilton will only spend time with people who agree with him. What an ego centric douche!
He said in another interview about the same subject that Vettel does all the talking so there's no point in him going. I think he means Vettel is intelligent, coherent and respected so everyone listens to him, meaning Lulu wouldn't be center of attention, he'd just be the spare pr*ck sat at the back taking selfies man.

MrMan01: you seem to have excessive and ongoing anger issues with Hamilton. Have you ever thought of seeking professional psychological help with this unhealthy negative obsession with Lewis?
Anger issues and negative obsession? I only comment on what he actually does It's not as if I make it up, I don't need to. So if you have a problem with what I comment on please write to Lewis Hamilton @ instatwit and ask him to stop acting like such a nob because you don't like being reminded of his antics. Simples :)

Crash I admire the wonderful work you've done recently to improve the site, the full page pop up ads that were infuriating seem to have stopped, posting can be done without the dreaded "error message" and post aren't being arbitrarily deleted with no explanation, that last one has improved things no end lots of lovely comments all over the place! But given all your hard work would it be too much to ask to fix the comment counter? It says no comments when there are 12 and says 2 comments when there are 36! Please? Pretty please? :)
