F1 » Mallya: Exciting driver pairing reflects Force India attitude

One would say they will be a few ticks closer to Lotus with black and gold team struggling with Finances but that argument does not necessarily mean anything. To start with Lotus had comparatively better funding to start with and perhaps they put in lot of juice in 2014 development and hence trapped themselves in fiasco near end of season. Also Mercedes & Ferrari are likely to sort out and get grips with new setup much quickly, so less opportunities of mid-field leaders. And am sure likely improved Willams in the mix will present an added challenge to SFI and Sauber as for last couple of years they appeared on the scene. But hey! greatness does not come without difficulties!

F1 » Hulkenberg: Force India targeting P3

Thats a bold statement, I agree but it is not completely baseless. Its not like Maldonado saying it either...if they are able to maintain pace in European races they will definitely be in reach of 3rd or at least 4th. And remember the last race with double points is in Abu Dhabi, where FI have been strong lately. With Williams long due to get strong results and Ferrari improving swiftly 3rd at this stage looks tough but then why not aim at the moon I say!

F1 » Hulkenberg to race at Le Mans, Spa for Porsche

Bigted7: I'm surprised that Mercedes haven't tried to stop him doing these races? Great to see him spreading his skills, let's hope more top drivers can take on other disciplines.
and they would have influenced SFI easily even though legally they do not directly contract Hulk. This is just because they are not looking to replace their drivers and thus not having Nico in their sights at least for couple more years

F1 » Ecclestone calls for more double points races

I agree partially...that if they smoothly increase the curve over last 3 or 4 races that would make some sense than straight away double points only in last race. You need to introduce uncertainty but not at the cost of someone despite great effort all year long has to give away one or two positions due to unlucky accident or technical failure. And remember this is not just affecting championship contenders but also the battles happening down the field.

F1 » Ferrari: F1 needs to plan post-Ecclestone

It will be good for sure but I am not sure where F1 will go if left to control by top teams. May well start proxy wars and start disintegrating the sport over the years. I feel there has to be some figure (or a few heads) to guide the sport though should lookout for more than just commercials and acting like F1 is a mobile nation and so by right should put their noses into political affairs wherever they go
