MotoGP » Indianapolis MotoGP - Friday practice (1)

... and here starteth another nerve-wracking weekend of Cal-watching. Cal please remember that there's thousand's of us here in the UK pondering how we are going to tell the missus that she's watching MotoGP on Sunday night - (and then BSB on Monday). Mrs IOM seems happy to oblige this year knowing that there's a Brit in MotoGP. You would not believe the grief we get when you chuck it up the road ... keep her rubber side down boy!

MotoGP » Bradley Smith to MotoGP in 2012?

And a very good afternoon to you RawDawg ... Camier: British 125 Champion, British Supersport Champion, and British Superbike Champion and a spell in 125 GPs. In terms of pedigree it cannot get much better than that. As I've said before, his current ride is doing him no good whatsoever. Laverty: should jump at the chance if a MotoGP ride comes up. He's got GP experience and his performances over the last 2/3 years prove he is a class act. IMO he needs to get back into GPs pronto before he becomes too much of a Superbike rider. And just a word on Haslam - previous 2 seasons he was the best WSB rider in terms of quality of machinery versus results. Stunning performances as a privateer on the Stiggy Honda and last year on the Suzuki, with little or no factory help. Again, the BMW is doing him no favours.

Bradders needs to be running consistently at the front end of Moto2 in all conditions (not just in the wet) before he should even be considered for MotoGP. Nice kid, bags of potential, smooth and very fast but a lot to learn before the big step up. Plenty of other Brits (if that's the criteria here) are more qualified - Haslam, Laverty, Camier to name but a few.
