BSB » Advantage Hill after Brands high five

The be-all and end-all is that this is spectator sport and the rules for winning both the races and the title should be easy for all to understand and interpret. That includes seasoned fans and would-be fans. BSB, and motorcycle racing generally, is a fantastic spectacle - mainly because of it's simplicity. Fast bikes, fast riders, going round in circles for half an hour or so, and the first one across the line wins a trophy, sprays champagne, etc. The one who does that most over the season wins a bigger trophy and sprays even more champagne. Lets not complicate this tried and tested formula! By the way all the best to Max Hunt for a speedy recovery!

BSB » Advantage Hill after Brands high five

Agree entirely pp916 - hearing riders talking of racing for 'podium credits' is absurd. Its taking away the spectacle of watching riders racing for wins, or at the very least racing to be as high as possible. BSB bosses please change back to the tried and tested old scoring system. And whilst we're on it please close the loophole that allows riders to use the race to set qualifying laps for the next race. And another thing ... lets go back to one hour qualifying (as per MotoGP). Right, I've said my bit!

WSBK » Toseland boosts morale with points' finishes

I wish I hadn't approached Mrs IOM about this ... It now transpires that she has a particular 'thing' for Leon Haslam and James Ellison. All those Sunday afternoons spent watching bike racing with her apparently not paying the slightest bit of interest ... and all along she's been ogling these ugly gits! The wasted hours of explaining to her the difference between MOTOGP and SBK .... and that Guy Martin is not Valentino's team mate .... and that Bradley is actually a bike racer ("but he looks too nice for all that ...") .... and all the time she's been playing me along!

BSB » Byrne ready to take on Kawasaki challenge

@ eric Shakey very clearly has the hunger, otherwise he wouldn't be sitting at the top of the leader-board with more than a race win advantage. Would love to see Hopper and Shakey continuing their race antics from Snetterton - two world class riders, racing hard and clearly enjoying it. Both riders set a superb example that day (both on and off the track)of what motorcycle racing should be all about.

WSBK » ParkinGO to take up Yamaha WSBK role?

@ iRONIC You've hit the nail on the head - what has been lost over the past few years is the ability and skill of the riders. It seems to be forgotten that this is a spectator sport - we hear more about technical development. No one wants to see one bike screaming off into the distance and winning all the races. The Stock classes in BSB and WSB over the last couple of years have given some fantastic close racing. By the way - Foggy and Whit to Tech 3 - not a bad idea!!!
