MotoGP » Ducati: No 1000cc test at Brno

@Amar "apparently no one read my comment "THE TROUBLE WITH DUCATI" ... Amar, David Emmett's pieces are always good, but on this occasion there is at least one technical error (on hysteresis) and some other rather debatable assumptions. It also is not that long or involved. If you REALLY want to see some very detailed debate about this go to the forum section and read the ducati goings on part 2 thread - all 17 pages of it, mostly contributed by engineers and drawing from many detailed sources. David's piece was merely a snapshot of what had been discussed in there (though he used other sources I am sure). David's piece most definitely is generous when it comes to Rossi's part in this year failure IMO.

MotoGP » Hayden: Big honour if I can beat Rossi

Literally day 1, 1st thing to be done when Stoner joined Repsol Honda was to get the engineers to turn down the TC. In fact, they couldn't turn it down enough within the standard parameters I read somewhere and had to reprogramme the system to allow it to be done. Stoner was this year asked if he had run teh bike without any TC, and laughed and said teh engineers wouldn't allow it, he had enough trouble getting them to turn it down to where it was now. There is a very long list of authoritative articles on places like Motomatters which goes over this time and again. To be honest, I am surprised there is ANYONE left who still believes this old granny story.
