MotoGP » PICS: Jorge Lorenzo’s jump start

i know this is a long shot...but the reason rossi wore his front tire out is partially because of lorenzo.... without the jump start, rossi may have had a better start (since he wouldnt be distracted)... he wouldnt need to push so hard in the first few laps and would be more smooth compared to how aggresively he was braking on sunday..... his tire would not have overheated and could have lasted longer ( possibly race distance ) again...this may not be the reason.....but it seems the most logical answer to his tire woes seeing he did try out a used tire in warm up......

MotoGP » Lorenzo wins, but Marquez crowned world champion

check the analysis.... till lap 11, Rossi was matching the pace.....however once lorenzo pushed pedrosa wide, he upped the pace by 6-7 tenths....he started doing high 1.31's....Rossi could only manage low 1.32's (the same pace he had all weekend)..... but lets be honest......rossi never had the pace for top 3 all year....why would this race be any different...all i hope is next years bike has a chassis suiting Rossi's braking a bit more..... congo to marc the race was only good for the first half....rest was a sleeper....

MotoGP » Lorenzo, Rossi conclude testing programme

@ realist.....i do realize that....but still...have a look at the analysis.... the first day lorenzo was a bit slower doing mid 1.31's......rossi had around half high1.31's and remaining were low-mid 1.32's......on an average he was 5 tenths slower per lap.... the second day rossi went worse and did all low-mid 1.32's.....lorenzo upped his pace and was constantly doing 1.31.0's and 1.31.1's...thats a whole freaking second..... as it is right now, it doesnt look too good....

MotoGP » Lorenzo, Rossi conclude testing programme

recently i read this on Gpone... Rossi weighs 67 kgs lorenzo - 65 kgs its more of the riding style....the amount of corner speed lorenzo carries is amazing....he loses to the honda in the first half because he breaks early, but the amount the gains by just maintaining his speed is amazing.....thats how he did most passes on dani in valencia also since he doesnt brake so much...he doesnt face the braking and fuel issues rossi is currently facing coming back to the test....it doesnt looks too good for rossi....he was managing on an avg. 1.32's mainly.....lorenzo and marc on the other hand were doing 1.31.0's and 1.31.1's for most part......if he doesnt up his game next year, he may end up fighting with smith and pol

MotoGP » Rossi: Today was emotional without Jeremy

its fun to see how the basher tactics change... i remember when rossi was farting on the ducati for the last 2 years, people mentioned that 80 second fix hundreds of times to bash rossi.....and he never made the comment in the first place....it was made by JB and now that rossi has replaced JB, suddenly everyone has become a JB supporter....wow the hypocrites should be happy......at the end of next year if rossi is still coming 4th, atleast it will be he himself to blame.....thats what you guys want right... the bashing aside, i feel it was good rossi - jb separated...if things werent working, its better to replace a variable than continue now and then start a blame game/finger pointing later on.....alteast now they parted respectfully

MotoGP » Rossi, Burgess discuss shock 2014 split

here....a quote from motomatters : There are are only three reasons why Rossi cannot challenge Marquez, Lorenzo and Pedrosa: either the bike is not good enough, his team can't set the bike up sufficiently well, or he has lost his edge. With Lorenzo currently the rider with the most wins, and still in contention for the title, Rossi cannot reasonably blame the bike. That leaves only the set up or Rossi's riding ability, and with just two variables, he has to explore the set up option first. It is the job of a crew chief to give the rider the tools with which to finish the job, and so Rossi's first option was to take Burgess out of the equation. If that fails, and Rossi's results are the same with a new crew chief as they were with Burgess, the only explanation left is that the problem lies with Valentino Rossi himself.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi to split from crew chief Jerry Burgess

lets be honest here.....off all the reaces, how many times have we seen Rossi complain of brake issues during the weekend or after the race ,etc next year may be the last year for rossi and he needs to up his pace.....if a new crew chief could help with that, then so be it....its a risk he has to take just think a bit...it wouldnt have been easy even for him to make this decision
