Just knit picking, but wasn't Bridgestone initially a rival to Goodyear, not Michelin, before Goodyear exited at the end of 1998?
Then Michelin entered in 2001...:)
Just an observation :)

With years of tyre technology learned, it'll be interesting to see which company will step up to the plate with all the major companies, all with years of tyre knowledge, by the wayside.

Return to Pirelli, perhaps? Or Dunlop? Avon?

Damon began his motorsport career in bikes, but switched to cars early on at the grace of his mother, who believed it was safer on 4 wheels. Thereafter, he only managed the championship in F1, not returning to race bikes on a global scale. @andrewmac, still has his name on the F1 WDC trophy regardless, never a mean feat at the best of times! :)

This guy's been the most promising young Aussie since Webber, his progress has been followed closely in his native Australia, and he's felled all before him in everything he's been racing. I'll be watching keenly to see how he handles the Red Bull, a chance he richly deserves.

I honestly cannot believe what I'm reading. I've never been so blatantly appalled at the state of Formula One...someone high up needs their blooming head checked. No secret that Ferrari would have won the championship last year under these rules...I wonder how their latest decision was swayed... Big, big mistake. I've been an F1 fan since before I could write my own name. But because of this, I'm sorry to say, I'm out.

If ex-Honda arrive on the grid in Melbourne ready to race, it would be one of the best comeback stories in years! And here's a thought...now it's not Honda Racing...what would it be called? Brawn F1? I think they should have a competition open to the public to re-name the F1 outfit.

Max, it's time to go. The way he's puppeting the drivers into forking out their hard earned money is hardly fair - why pay extra for good results? It's like saying...congratulations on being so good! Now pay for it. I honestly hope someone takes him out of the sport soon, before they all end up racing Lada's and there hasn't been a star name in years.

Unfortunately, that's just the way the tide turns sometimes. With today's economic climate everything is so unstable that it would be even harder to reach that pinnacle. Unlucky turn of events. If he is the real deal, we'll see him in F1 soon enough.

Schumacher broke his leg pretty badly in '99 and still won the title the next 5 years...fair enough Webber has yet to win a race, but given his steely determination, I still think we're yet to see the best from Webber. Alongside Vettel, he'll be seriously pushed by a really pacey driver. Competition with an on-form team mate should see him lift his game. Curious recovery techniques though...wonder what was going through the mind of the first guy to sit in -130 and think it was good for you :P

Bernie's insistance to try and make F1 a disneyland instead of casting genuine racing seems to be wearing a bit thin...

The first hot air that Jones has expelled in a while that is actually of worth! With the open wheel emphasis in NZ stronger than Aus, it's no wonder we have people like Bamber and Reid. Its just a shame the V8 culture is not one that is supported over in Europe, even for such series as the BTCC. Aus needs more accessable open wheel emphasis.
