F1 » Vettel: Tyre criticism purely a matter of safety

Richard, Pirelli's point is that it's the nature of the failure which has changed, and the tyre itself is actually safer than it was last year. I agree the sudden delamination at high speed is dangerous no matter where you are on the track,so change in this characteristic would be better. But Red Bull have not had this problem of sudden delamination at all during the season. They want to be able to do as Vettel's custom is, to drive away into the distance early on and have greater flexibility with there tyre management, which would help Vettel no ends.

F1 » Montreal not as easy as it looked, insists Vettel

Vettel is dominant but you can't rule out Alonso, as long as Ferrari keep developing the car which they historically have done till the very end of the season. Raikkonen is still in the hunt, but they need more consistency Lotus. Pirelli want to bring in the new ties which should make things very different but it looks like Lotus will resist them all the way, so who knows how the second part of the season will turnout. In my opinion McLaren have been out of it from near the beginning of the season, and now Button has made this official.

F1 » International Tribunal hearing date set

Ross Brawn looked uncomfortable during his interview with Jordan on the BBC. Wolfe also said, he did not know Brawn was going to take full responsibility for the Mercedes test decision until he heard him give it at the press conference. In spite of his brave words I think Brawn is prepared to take as much flak as possible to save Mercedes. He took a gamble, so he will take the loss.
