MOTOGP » Lorenzo victorious, Pedrosa survives Marquez onslaught

Home rider Lorenzo was leading the race and another 2 were battling for 2nd position, but the crowd favourite (at least at the grandstand of the last corner) was a rider you wouldn't ever expect before - Yonny Hernandez. He was sliding in the corner every single lap. Firstly people were pointing at him, than cheered and applauded. In the last few laps he got standing ovation.

Marino did a very good job, he was near the top at Aragon and Donington too, until he crashed. I think Salom will do something similar. And hope Marino will be back soon, this championship is the perfect ground for him.

Best race of the weekend again. Looks like there are 3 aliens in Moto3 just as in MotoGP, all of them Spanish, Vinales, Salom and Rins. I would have loved to see some info about Ferrari's state during the coverage, or maybe after it in the news. When Iwema and Techer crashed heavily, they gave a lot of info during the Moto2 races.

I am impressed by Canepa. Maybe more wild-cards in the races that not clash with the Stock 1000 program? It seems like he feels the Panigale well. And his Stock team-mate, Eddi La Marra also rides the bike fast, it could be interesting to see what he could do in the big category, too.

Great ride by Canepa "who always gets the best bikes" (this was said about him at the last Superstock race). Best of the Ducatis, the only Ducati in Superpole 3. Actually it's only the 3rd time a Panigale got into the SP3. And Sykes is the king of Superpole again, wouldn't be surprised if he took pole every remaining race.

Sensational? I doubt that with the Grillini team he could do anything sensational, most likely it will be a disappointment for him and the fans. And I say this as someone who was a huge fan of Haga - I cheered him against Spies and was sad when he lost the title. It's bad to see how both fell away in a few years' time.

For the spectator's it doesn't matter they have Ferrari and Mercedes power, I suspect it won't change that they will be at the back of the field. The only thing I hope Bianchi won't be with the team next year. That would be a waste of his talent.
