I think he is too inconsistent. Once he wins, next race he's 10th or crashes... I don't think it's only because of the bike. In MotoGP he needs to be always fast to get results. Plus, he is overagressive, which is not aprreciated in MotoGP.

@ tucker Thanks, somehow I forget usually only two rides and the 3rd is a reserve. I mixed it with car endurance racing.

@ loki & co Sorry that I'm not amazed by his performance. Hopkins took 10th place in similar conditions in Jerez last year. The media labelled him as a great wet racer and talked about his victory here in the past. The expectitions were high. If a Spanish or Italian racer did the same, you would call him useless and undeserving.

Never heard of him. Maybe the AMA front runners like Hayes, Young or Herrin would have been more deserving choices. I don't know how this wildcard system works, usually the best ones of the national championships get chances.

Impressive, he stayed on the podium a lot of times in 125 and 250, but never in a wet race. Now he is one of the best wet racers of MotoGP.

I don't know why was it an extremely good performance. He had a fast lap but otherwise he was only average. It's not surprising he isn't in the regular MotoGP or WSB grid.
