F1 » Rosberg escapes penalties after tough race

Once commited LH had little choice but to keep it nailed or else backing off would have spun him - into either barrier or NR. I can't help thinking that the penalty would have been given if the roles were reversed. Same with the slightly less agressive move on Alonso. So far this year we have seen passing moves made with both cars leaving proper space and being able to pass and even repass without the crazy turn ins of Massa etc last year. A shame Nico should have let us down. Just when I was going to say how much better his driving is than last year. Perhaps the threat of a penalty will be enough.

F1 » Karthikeyan criticised by Vettel, penalised by officials

As usual a set of circumstances made worse by both drivers not allowing sufficient space for each other. With the run off area running out K could not leave any more room, and SV should have seen the inevitable coming and given more space. The hand signal and later petulance are not what is expected of a double champion. How lucky it was not LH doing what SV did. JB took a more realistic look at events and rightly decided it was mainly his own fault, what a contrast !

F1 » F1 POLL: Can Massa beat Alonso in 2012?

If Felipe can extract his head from a dark space, and if he can avoid running into whomever is trying to pass him, only then will he be in with a chance. Of course Alonso will still be given the fast car, so only if Alonso crashes out and he keeps off Lewis' front wing will Felipe even finish a race. Label to be fitted to Felipe's car : " The fastest car will be in front, the lead car stands the best chance of staying in front - all other options will be luck." :)

F1 » Sutil called to face GBH charge

Obviously he is being accused of an error, rather than a serious assault or else he would have been locked up already pending his trial. World wide drink fuelled incidents are on the rise and steps are being taken to make examples of VIPs where possible. Whatever the result at worse it will cost a lot of money to keep the headlines going. He may also lose/get endorsements on, his Super Licence if the FIA think he has brought the sport (?) into disrepute. It should be interesting to follow this in court.

F1 » Ten top 'Murrayisms'

I think the very best Murrayism was actually spoken by James Hunt. MW: " & ???? is slowing down" .... JH: " it is a slow motion replay Murray" Perfect. :) And in second place MW: "And now over to James " ...... Oh he's asleep ! " Almost perfect and the only time Murray looked like being speechless.

F1 » James Allen gets BBC Radio 5 Live gig

@bbc half cup What channel have you been listening to ?? I think you have mistaken Crofty for Davison. Davidson is the one that you have just described, gawd knows why Sky wanted him, he just does not answer a question without 15 mins of uninteligable waffle. His own racing has always been half hearted and definitely lower midfield at best, but he jumps on any bandwagon to have a go at others. Now Crofti, I could listen to him all day, when he is not being sidetracted by Davidson. James Allen is very good in print and on his blog, but he is probably the most disliked choice for commentator.
