MotoGP » Ezpeleta explains MotoGP Rookie Rule change of heart

I wont sit here and lie no, I would have a problem with that, BUT if the money coming from America was keeping the series alive then yes id be grateful! I dont really care where the races are, I go to the GB round and maybe a Europe one if im lucky, but it doesnt matter where! Dorna yes have 4 spanish rounds, but Aragon wasnt meant to happen, they were let down twice by Hungary so thats one of the rounds, and the they are trying to get rid of another and Jerez was the one most in danger there. Would it still be such a strong bias despite also 2 Italian rides and 2 american? I dont understand how the rule has only benefitted Spain riders? Suzuki didnt have a satelitte team, and they signed the contract prior to the rule so that explains the Bautista, and I dont have to explain again about Marquez! the whole Ben Spies thing doesnt make sense, he was put in a satelitte team because first and foremost there wasnt a factory seat. Will everybody have a problem if Iannone jumps on a factory D

some people on here are something else. Nationality has nothing to do with it! Its because of the long term benefit to the sport!! Why cant you take your anti spanish blinkers off and see it!! If anything this rule is helping satielitte teams, who can contuine with relationships they have built up with sponsors, keep team members and progress themselves rather than have to cater for Marquez and all his party?! MARQUEZ TO GRESINI WOULD BENEFIT NOBODY! MARQUEZ TO LCR WOULD BENEFIT NOBODY! We all know he would be on a factory bike painted differently anyway! You moan about Spainish riders taking the best seats, because they are the best riders maybe? had that crossed anybodies mind? The reason that Spain features prominatley is the same reason as why it was all Italian 10/15 years ago. They have funding at club racing, they are getting young riders in and have the public love it! the riders love Jerez, they love Montemelo, because the fans love it! Look at sponsors on the bike, Spainis

Yes it was stupid rule, but this Spanish abuse is something else. The rule hasnt been abolished because he is Spainish, its because of sponsorship issues. Marquez has an agreement with Repsol, if he joins the LCR team that means that Lucho Cechenello has to throw away his years with Elf. If he joins the Gresini team then that means that Fausto Gresini has to throw away his years with Castrol. Its not HRC and Repsol Honda pressing Dorna to abolish it, its the whole of MotoGP are trying to get rid of it. The idea of the rule was to come in, and help the smaller teams, where in this case all it will do is hinder the smaller teams for a one year deal before he heads off to the factory team! As for all the american hardships, who excatly was Spies going to replace in the factory Yamaha side in 2010?? You had Lorenzo and Rossi in the team, both with 1 years on their contract! Were you expecting Lin Jarvis to dump off Lorenzo?! Just because Marquez is the golden boy it doesnt mean that

MotoGP » Bradl returns to scene of final Moto2 victory

Very impressed by Bradl, and wouldnt be at all shocked if HRC decided that he was the man to partner Pedrosa (who will re-sign) next year! Also possibely leaving Lucho C and Marquez with each other! Would benefit everybody. But also glad to see the LCR bike back where it belongs like where it was under RdP after the nightmare that Toni had last year!!

MotoGP » History suggests all-new HRC line-up unlikely

I think Pedrosa is getting some harsh comments here, im not a Pedrosa fan, on the contary I'm a Lorenzo fan! But he is more than fast enough, and only 10 points behind Casey at the moment, if he had 6 injury free seasons there is no doubt in my mind that he would be a world champion. Not to meantion the development he had done to the RC212V for Casey to then dominate.. But lets also not beat around the bush, without the Repsol backing he wouldnt still be on that bike, and unless something changes massively in the next 18 months it will be Marquez bringing in Repsol's money not Pedrosa! Suppo on GPone only confirmed what every other member of HRC has been telling us and that is that Rossi wont be on a Repsol bike! I also think that its looking like he might stay at Ducati, but again also feel that Lagua with the updates will be pivotal and Brno maybe a have another very big annoucement from Mr Rossi

MotoGP » Espargaro swing-arm boost, de Puniet favourite track

The Aspar boys were always going to look good, its just a shame that RdP has gone back towards his "crasher" tag clearly trying to push the bike too far. Would quite like to see him back on a prototype next season! I have also been pleasantly surprised by Espargaro, never set the world alight before but is providing competitive in the CRT mini class and in order to finish first, first you must finish!
