MotoGP » Ben Spies tests for two

Ok, the 1000s won't be just like 800s. I also think we'll see more overtaking and action near the front. I guess I'm complaining more about the electronics. Wanting slower corner speeds and less grip sounds counter intuitive, but it would be much more entertaining for us fans and maybe safer for the riders. I personaly care little about technology and lap times, and more about watching the skill required to manage the big power on worn tires, overcoming imperfections in bike set up, etc.

MotoGP » Ben Spies tests for two

I'm afraid the new 1000cc era will be just like the 800s because of the damn electronics. I miss the 990s with much more sliding and rider skill on display. Now its about who presses the right buttons, which is ruining my favorite sport. Seriously, who's brilliant idea was it to take the racing out of racing? Can you imagine Ben on the old 990s? Wow. Anyway, thanks for letting me vent!

MotoGP » Valencia MotoGP test times - Wednesday 5pm

Thoughts. Im a Spies guy, but I admit Lorenzos faster and wouldve probably been right with the hondas. Bradl, Abraham and Crutchlow impressed. Edwards on his new CRT bike would've told us more about the new machines, but it ain't looking good so far. Rossi continues to struggle, he and Nicky may be in for more frustration unfortunately. IMO Stoner and Lorenzo will still be the guys to beat with Pedrosa right behind followed by my boy Spies. Disappointing that Suzuki looked so good with RDP then packed up early, I hope they choose to compete in 2012. Get well Jorge, Nicky, and Colin see you next year. RIP Marco we all miss you bad brother
