F1 » Arai talks ‘pressure’ and McLaren podiums by mid-season

IanM: I still do not understand why they did not have the petrol engine element of their PU droning around Suzuka all winter in the back of an old F2 chassis. Even if they put it in a Civic they would have averted this fiasco! I thought by delaying their F1 entry to this year it gave them a year to get going behind the scenes and away form spotlight. What have they been doing in that time?? I mean of all the things Honda is famous for it is IC engines and this one seems a right turkey at the moment.
Oooh - A Honda Civic with an F1 PU. Now that sounds like a lot of fun...

F1 » Wolff: I know what I am capable of…

PinkLadyRacer:
farfromflocks: Don't get me wrong, there are obvious cultural and social reasons why women are rare in this sport, and females are IMO physically and mentally capable of being top drivers. Just not this one.
How do you know that? No women has been given the chance to race at modern level of F1. So no one knows 100% its just guessing and speculating and nothing more.
Could be why he used IMO in the post. IMO he is quite correct. Verstappen is hardly built like a brick sh1t house is he?

All very well bleating on about getting women into F1 but first you need to get some women drivers from lower formulae, and how many of them are there? Louise Richardson in Formula MSA and errrrrr..... How about funding some young women drivers in this or similar series? 0.01% of Bernies piggy bank could fund a few dozen - If there was a will to do it, that is....
