MotoGP » Spies 'inspired' by new 1000cc YZR-M1

I'm a massive Spies fan, maybe even more than Stoner...probably coz he's just been on a meteoric rise since dominating AMA and WSB and still slowly progressing upwards in Motogp. Expecting big things from Elbowz this year, more wins/podiums and maybe even 3rd or 4th in the final standings. I know testing doesn't mean that much but I would bet my house that he'd be near the top on the final test day at Sepang, 2nd or 3rd fastest, that much you can count on.

MotoGP » Rossi 'belittling' title win, says Stoner

Getting tired of the Stoner haters, Rossi fans that love him so much that no matter what Stoner does off track, he's wrong?! I'm a Stoner & Spies fan but I also like Rossi. But as rider you're only as good as your last season. Rossi's won 9 titles but I only care about who's winning right now. Rossi is no longer an 'alien' looking @ 2011 and Spies is set to take his place. No matter how they try and change the Duke, if he hasn't learned to ride it in a whole year he never will. It's the end of an era for Rossi I'm afraid.

RR » Guy Martin buoyed by Tyco Suzuki deal

I wish Guy would stop talking about getting a TT win like he's been owed one. He needs to stop the TV crap, let his team make the decisions to allow him to fully focus on his racing. The man has talent, has had some bad luck and seems like a nice chap but he needs to pull his finger out. He's on a capable bike so there's no excuses. He should take example from Michael Dunlop who doesn't give a **** about anything but racing. And a few BSB rounds wouldn't hurt him, if anything it would sharpen him up. Just look at Ian hutchinson!

WSBK » Laverty: I thrive on repetition…

Laverty: 1st 'learning' year on a superbike, runs at the front with 2 wins and on new tracks. Now knows the tracks with a faster bike and lots more room for improvement. Wouldn't be surprised if he beat Biaggi every weekend or not far behind, Biaggi certainly knows he could be giving up no.1 rider status @ Aprilia. Almost getting 3rd in the championship against top ex-GP riders in your rookie year is not easy and he would be a better long term prospect in terms of his learning potential. Laverty to win WSBK 2012!

MotoGP » Who was your overall Racer of the Year 2011?

Firstly let me say in MotoGp I'm a bigger Spies fan where Stoner is a close 2nd, and in Superbikes I'm a bigger Eugene Laverty and Hopkins Fan than Checa. For me, the Racer of the Year would be a close decision between Stoner and Checa. Stoner dominated the season on a new bike, in a new team with no previous data and solidly confirmed that he is the ONLY rider capable of taming the Ducati let alone win a championship on it. He cemented this reputation after Rossi's first mediocre season on the Duke and passing defending champion Lorenzo on the outside at Laguna Seca was sick! I'm not a Rossi hater by the way and he is still the GOAT in terms of his statistics, but this is a Racer of the Year poll. Checa on the other hand dominated WSBK effectively on a satellite bike (albeit with factory support), and has seemingly resurrected his career at 39 years of age having been spat out of MotoGp and having a few lean years in WSBK where a lot of critics thought he was finished. He is humble...
