F1 » F1 driver of the year so far….. revealed

richard: mikelite. no , vettel is not getting his ass whipped. but he is suffering a myriad of mechanical problems that has meant that in most races he has been hobbled. you have to compare like for like, and when vettels car has been on song and the team strategy has not hindered him, he is still faster than ricciardo. so far, it has been vettel who has lapped closest to the mercs
Richard - Can you remember all the Webber/ Vettel debates I've had with you in past where you totally discounted all the Webber mechanical problems and him not coming to grips with the EDB, Pirelli's, clutch, strategy and car not to his his liking, saying he needed to "adapt" (which I still agree with) and Seb was just so much better ? Well, now Seb being a 4 time WDC, anyone would expect him to be doing considerably better. Seb deserves his fair share of mechanicals. F1 » Smedley: Williams must 'capitalise' on Spa, Monza

Williams are pretty poor at strategy on the go, they seem to pick a strategy at the start and stick with it which damages their chances to score higher positions when thing unfold during a race. Having said that the next 2 races are their genuine best chances of winning their first race this year and what seems like ages since their last. Hope they do well.

F1 » Alonso and Hamilton praise ‘fantastic’ Ricciardo

LoveF1 - The way I see it is Webber and Seb were actually very similar in that one would beat the other when the car suited them, apart from Marks woeful starts. Just look at the past 4 years, before off throttle blowing and the Pirelli's came in etc, Mark could take the fight to Seb. After the changes Mark couldn't beat Seb and the car suited Seb more and more. People said Mark cant adapt which is true - he was old school, but now Seb cant adapt and Dan is giving him a fair and decent beating - especially in Bahrain. So really both needed a suited car to perform - Mark isn't really that bad and Seb was the king of the EBD era, but needs it all right to perform. Goes to show how good Ferdi is. Punches above his weight in what ever car.
