F1 » Schumacher: Alonso has worked for success

May I just add, when Nando signed with Mclaren in 2007 he was essentially told "Yeah of course you'll be number one, oh and we hope you don't mind this guy shadowing you as your little protege..." And very quickly Nando was fighting a losing battle. Ron clearly favoured Lewis and Nando immediately became the team's enemy. What I'm trying to say is that Nando being the joint runner-up as basically a number 2 driver was more impressive than Lewis taking joint runner-up in his rookie season. ....................................................... Well in any industry or workplace the manager/leader has the right to make changes for the benefit of that company/business. Yes Alonso may have been given No1 status but By Indianapolis 2007 the Mclaren team principal realised that his creation was as good if not better than the 2xwdc which he had brought to Mclaren for mega bucks, and in getting rid of a blackmailer and a person who wanted to indulge in sabotage and general disruption Ron was

blublz, i am a little disappointed that in your reference to the one who had the quickest car in oz compared to the guy who is being praised in this article you have not mentioned the mistakes made by the team with the supposed fastest car. If not for those mistakes would not the driver who is leading his teammate by forty points be leading this years championship by now? Maybe this could answer your query as to why the driver who can only race when team orders is in his favour is in front of the only driver to finish above him while being a double world champion in similar cars. And blublz last i looked the 2007 standings said Kimi winner Hamilton runner up Alonso third, something about count back. But can we really feel sorry for a driver who comes to a team and tells the team principal that by employing a rookie it could compromise the teams chances of the WCC only for that rookie to finish above him. LMAO at that comment from you no who.

Gifted the best car on the grid. Did the driver who Schumi is praising have access to that top car in 07 also? And at the time was he a 2xWDC while the other was a debutant? You guys through dislike always misses the point what happened in 2007 at Mclaren should never had happened Alonso was on fire in 05,06 and 07 its just unfortunate for Alonso a young boy from 30 miles north of London had other ideas, ideas which involved him going against his employers wishes in Hungary to prove that he was an equal to the double world champion even though he was a rookie, if Massa had shown balls like that in 2010 he most probably would not be a whipping boy at Ferrari now. But i do agree with Schumi, Alonso has been the top driver this season but i can see the hunt for the Spaniard by 3 driver in better cars.

F1 » Button eager to rectify situation

richard whether you feel Button made that statement or not is not the issue as the interview on BBCF1 showed Jenson saying he did not blame Senna. The point i'm making is that this discussion between you and i did take place, as you accused me of fabricating this account due to me consuming i assume large amounts of Newcastle brown ale, and as for me saying Lewis ruined Jensons race i think you are on the ale or maybe have just finished a vat of Malmsey wine as Lewis was never mentioned. So for accusing me of making up this conversation i think an apology is in order as this could be seen as you slandering me and i may have to seek legal advice from Googleplex who i believe has some legal knowledge.

whitew. yes, button was making similar complaints about senna. nowadays with cars so close in speed, it is really only a pit stop that can shuffle the pack. vettel and button both wanted their teams to change strategy to give them free air. that is the sad face of current f1! ..................................................... richard, the interview i saw Jenson said he was stuck behind Senna and when was asked do you blame him he said no. Posted by ronsgoldenboy (28 days ago) richard i hope its becomming clear now
