F1 » Button: There are lots of positives

Jenson strength is his smooth driving and tire management skills, the thing is his team mate and others are now capable of doing the same job just as well but have natural speed to add to that, and don't need the car to be exact before being able to extract performance out of a car. I hope Jenson wont become exposed as a one dimensional driver as the Mclaren car wont be competitive in some climate conditions and will need a driver who is versatile and is able to adapt. I no some on this site and maybe Mclaren to want a driver who represents them who is Angolo in looks and mannerisms but at at the end of the day quality sees no barriers and will shine through even if that talent can sometimes be annoying.

F1 » Vettel: Pace better than result

whitew. yes, button was making similar complaints about senna. nowadays with cars so close in speed, it is really only a pit stop that can shuffle the pack. vettel and button both wanted their teams to change strategy to give them free air. that is the sad face of current f1! ..................................................... richard, the interview i saw Jenson said he was stuck behind Senna and when was asked do you blame him he said no.

F1 » Raikkonen: I just couldn’t make a pass

A lot of people seem to have missed the point Lotus and Kimi expected the E20 to pass Hammi because Hamilton was on tires that were 5 laps older than Kimi's and the Lotus team fully expected Lewis's tires to hit the cliff, and if Lewis's tires had hit the cliff then Kimi would have just glided pass the Mclaren which would have had no grip, it is Hamiltons skill in managing the mediums with a degree of control which was masterful considering he was on older tires and being pursued by a car which was faster throughout the race. Lewis is indeed in Alonso class as Mclaren had run out of ideas and was going do a 3 stop with Lewis but saw what was happening to poor old Jenson and decided not to which left Hammi in a situation of fending off Kimi on older tires.

F1 » Hamilton wins Hungarian Grand Prix

@ PP whats even more frightening is that Eric Boullier as just said once Lotus gets their F duct up and running they will be in a position to win every race, that's confidence they know they have the car and the drivers to do a job. As i see it Ferrari the car for all seasons Red Bull the team that pushes the regs to the limit and great innovators, Mclaren has a quick car if the sun is shining and Lotus the long distant runners on any tyres.

F1 » Hamilton wins Hungarian Grand Prix

How on earth did Hammi hold of both the Lotus cars those last ten laps were so tense. I haven't seen a weekend dominated by a driver since Vettel driving the RB7 last season. Still think Lewis's 2 dnfs and Mclaren mistakes early on in the season has hurt Lewis badly but just hope he can continue to show dominance on a race weekend along with the cool head he showed when holding off Kimi and Grosjean today.

F1 » Vettel backs Alonso, Hamilton for greatness

ME, DC started in a Newey Williams but did not have the raw talent to make Patrick head and Frank Williams take note, instead they offloaded him for Mansell. Alonso the conqueror of Schumi came to Mclaren as the No1 driver and by Indianapolis 2007 Mclaren had to take note of a driving phenomena who was a rookie. Yes he had a top car along with Massa and the iceman but the fact is a rookie should never have finished above a double world champion let alone challenge him and this is why BBC has voted him the 15 on the all time f1 list with in only 5 years in f1. And for anyone to say that an f1 driver who campaigns for 19 races and wins was down to luck is either not very sensible or just is full of dislike for that particular driver.
