MotoGP » Moto2: ‘Best win of my career’ - Sam Lowes

That was the ride of a champion. Hopefully now that's done and the weight has been lifted a bit he'll be away and running for the rest of the season. And as for ProfX, WTF?!! What about all the Kalex's on the grid with all the feedback from all those riders to develop them?!! Moto2 is the closest in terms of bike ability and Sam has just proved he can make the difference when given a bike with some feel. He'd be doing the same on a Kalex.

MotoGP » Espargaro: We are really f**ked in that aspect!

Ducati were smart by moving to the open/'factory 2' rules so they could develop the bike, without that they would be nowhere. There was nothing to stop Honda and Yamaha doing the same (though clearly they wouldn't) - Ducati saw a chance for progress and they took it. I agree the soft tyre rule is pants, but it is a small sacrifice to make for seeing the Ducati's competitive again. Next year it'll be as level a playing field as we're going to see and at least the 'open' rules have brought more factories back to the grid.
