MotoGP » Pedrosa: ‘I cannot continue racing this way’

info on the problem for the doctors on here with the easy fixes medical term for which is chronic exertional compartment syndrome (CECS). In the paddock, however, CECS is simply called arm pump To understand CECS (or its much more serious relative, acute compartment syndrome) requires a beyond-basic knowledge of muscle anatomy and physiology. Muscles are bundled in a strong, thin, not very stretchy membrane called fascia like casing on a sausage. Muscle use raises energy demand. An increase in energy demand is met by increased blood flow. Increased blood flow can cause a growth in muscle volume by as much as 20 percent, but because the fascia doesn’t expand, things get tight in the compartment. When things get tight, it’s harder for energy to get where it needs to go, so the entire limb starts underperforming. An underperforming forearm means an underperforming wrist, hand, and fingers.

MotoGP » Pedrosa to undergo surgery, out for two races

Spinach: Sad way to end a career, unfortunately. I hope he has success with the surgery, but I'm expecting this is the first step out the door. Too bad for Johnny Rea in a way, this might have been the "break" he was waiting for. Of course, I think he made the right choice as surely Repsol Honda will be looking for the next young gun to step up, not a nearly expired racer. No offense Johnny, you have a few good years left, and I'm pulling for you. Dani has proven himself a great racer and pretty much a nice guy to boot. If it weren't for Puig in 2006 he would have had many, many more supporters. I feel he has turned most of those haters back, a true mark of magic. Best of luck Dani.
Rea had his break when he rode stoners bike a few years ago and was mediocre

MotoGP » Honda: ‘We need to help Pedrosa’

locky: Pedrosa has won nothing in the premier class after what? 8/9 years-it says a lot about the money and business of Grand Prix racing that he still has a job at Honda-he is quick but he will never be a champion-as the Spanish say-"no es duro" And a bloke in his mid 30s can still beat all the pups - that says a lot about the "talent" that has risen to the supposed pinnacle of the sport. Anyone for tennis?
won nothing, go check your history he has won 26 premier class races(7th in the all time premier class winners list), yes not the championship in the top class but he has hardly done nothing. as for your last comment you, well you clearly don't watch the sport so yes go watch tennis

MotoGP » Qatar podiums mean Ducati race fuel reduced

F0ul: So the next race will see a Ducati with 2 litres less weight, making them faster on the straights. But as Dovi showed, faster on the straights means going wide on the corners? I have a feeling that Rossi will be having a quiet chuckle as the world realises that Ducati will still have the same pig of a bike by the end of the season!
are you watching last years races lol because.all though the tests and last weekend the totally new bike is running great with just enough fuel for a fast lap or with a full tank.

MotoGP » Pedrosa: ‘I cannot continue racing this way’

bringBACKthe990s: What a complete line of BS. Want to get rid of arm pump? Eat some food Dani! Your body is starved for vitamins and nutrients. This horse jockey routine of all these guys cutting weight to gain an advantage has it's price. No athlete with the conditioning these guys have should be getting arm pump like they do. I guarantee if he puts on 5-8 lbs of weight his arm pump issues would go away. And so would one of his major advantages on the bike but so what. That's sports. Where u find the limits of the human body and the genetics you were dealt.
he is small enough, he isn't on a diet, that isn't the reason at all

MotoGP » Pedrosa: ‘I cannot continue racing this way’

@bringBACKthe990s guess you don't read much about it he said (two previous operations on it already and a 3rd could make it worse not better, the doctor don't know what to do in his case) seems like there at lot of doctors on here judging by some of the posts here, maybe they should offer him help. "loss of feeling and strength in his right forearm" that doesn't mean he needs more muscle and there by more strength its the loss of feeling that is leading to loss of strength and not he hasn't got enough muscle. arm pump is caused by a build-up of blood in the muscles of the arm putting more muscle on the forearm can make it worse not better .

MotoGP » MotoGP Qatar - Warm-up Results

nikisan: in terms of race pace it's rossi lorenzo and marc who will surely be top 3 but dovi's pace has been good too the big question mark is how will his tyres be in the last quarter of the race
guy on tv said rossi/mm etc will be on the medium tyre same as dovi in the race, so he shouldn't have any problems that the other don't also have
In theory yes, in practice, depends how the Ducati puts the power down as to how the tyre lasts over race distance.
well yeah, but that goes for them all and not just ducati at least he will be on the same tyre and not one softer like most races
