MotoGP » Stoner completes two-day Honda test at Motegi

Hailwood took more than a decade off and was up to speed very quickly, and Stoner has been compared to him by none other than Agostini. .
Hailwood was never, "up to speed" as you claim. He raced in the IOM, in 1978 when it was no longer a world championship event. Who did he beat? Alex George. Ever heard of him? No, didn't think so. His other outings were in British production bike races on a Ducati dicing with..............hang on, I'll have to look it up. The truth is, as great as Hailwood was, he never returned to top level competition, and for good reason. He would have got blown into the weeds. Stoner is retired. He should stay that way.
Alex George was a good racer, you do him a disservice and hailwood didn't just race the ducati, he raced the rg500 and tz500 etc so again you do him a disservice , I seen hailwood race at donington in 78 and he beat some of the best in the uk at the time, except sheene

BSB » Honda confirms BSB return with Linfoot, O’Halloran

shakennstirred: now they just need an updated bike
Why what's wrong with the current one? One year ago it won the championship without the SP updates
the sp updates only really help the road bike, they make no real difference to the race bike, as most will be changed for race parts anyway. the sp parts are Honda’s press kit states the top line additions that make the 2014 Fireblade SP Ohlins suspension front and rear(road spec), Brembo front brake calipers(road spec), Pirelli Supercorsa SP tyres(road tyres), a forged top yoke, selected pistons, a lighter subframe, a firmer grippier seat(not used on race bike) and C ABS with unique to the SP settings(not used on race bike)
