WRC » VW commits to WRC until 2019

This is fantastic news for the Sport and should demonstrate to dithering Manufacturers like Ford who are sitting on the Fence that the WRC is there to use as an Effective Marketing Tool, its is like VW are in the swimming Pool shouting for all the other Manufacturers to come on in, the water is Lovely !!! Ford need to Return and Invest not just money but belief and long term support. In all Due respect to Hyundai they have done just that and if they can do it from Nothing then Ford can do it with all their history and what they already have available to them in the form of M-sport Toyota will be next to make its official Return to the WRC in 2017, Ford can Return in an official capacity any time they desire as they just have to open their wallet and sit back around the Table at M-Sport, hopefully this will send a powerful message to Ford in the USA.

WRC » Latvala disappointed, blows 'good chance' of winning

Its very dissapointing for him, maybe he can win Poland and give himself that spring board allowing him to take the Victory in Finland I think for the 1st time ever he has both the speed and consistency also the confidence right now to Beat Ogier in straight fights on gravel events I just hope he can do that in Poland so he can prove to himself that he can take the Victory when ever he decides it is his to take, this will give him the belief he needs to win in Finland again

WRC » Wales Rally GB 2014 route in detail

Finally this looks like a Decent Route and Itinerary for our Rally GB. Some mileage run in the Dark is better than none at all I suppose. I think this is a pretty good Route compared to previous years. The old Saturday Route over Epynt etc was a bit Mickey Mouse and should never have been used in our WRC Event when we had Real Quality Gravel stages all around us. It seems it took a change in Event Management to finally get a decent route put together ! as they say, Better Late Than Never !

WRC » Latvala still leads in Italy, despite engine scare

Latvala must of been gutted to have overheating issues in Monte Lerno but he has managed to get it back to service and it was intermittent rather than Terminally progressive so that is a Relief. Now the VW Mechanics just need to identify the issue and sort it out for the afternoon run. Not an Ideal Itinerary if I am Honest, 2 stages early on then a huge Gap in the Action before the short and long stage are Re Run again Evening time, then again this is Sardinia so maybe all the fans will go to the Beech for a few hours before returning for the Action in the Evening. If Latvala can attack again and the car holds up for him then I am sure that he will once again be able to fend off Mr Ogier and take his 3rd Victory of 2014. If he wins here this weekend then I would suggest he could carry the momentum into both Poland and Finland. If he wins the next 3 he can win the Championship from there, Ogier must already know this too !

WRC » Latvala 'full of confidence' for Sardinia

We all know that with confidence comes belief and belief is what you need to put in the Top stage times to win Rallies. I just hope that Jari Matti can find a really good rhythm right away and that his notes are spot on. I have always believed that he can be the fastest driver on gravel, I remember having a conversation with John Millington (M-Sport) at Barcelona Airport several years ago and saying that if he could just get it all together he could win most of the gravel Rallies and with it the Championship Im not suggesting that he is there yet but beating Ogier Fair and Square in a straight fight over 3 days is NO FLUKE ! I just hope that this confidence will pay dividends for him in Italy and allow him to gain the Momentum to fight for the win again in Finland. I think he can do it !
