WRC » Rally Mexico podium a 'huge reward' for Hyundai

Hang on a minute, lets not get carried away with a Podium here. It is Great for Hyundai to get a podium but Neuville was 9th before everyone fell off the road and Atkinson was doing his usual job at the back of the field at that point. They now admit that the engine is a Briggs and Stratton straight out of a Law Tractor - lol Joking aside though I think it will be back to normal in Portual and even Neuville will find it a challenge to break the Top 5 unless we have a few more joining the scenery like we did in Mexico

WRC » Hirvonen: We can definitely fight for top places this year

This is great news for both Mikko and M-Sport, I remember Mikko being around 30 seconds faster on the 1st stage of Argentina back in 2008 or 2009 in the Fog, and I recall how fast he was when he won Rally GB the one year, beating Marcus, I think that was in 2008. He was also untouchable when he won in Finland after a Huge Fight He is still young enough to win Rallies so with any luck he can get his Mojo back 100% and perhaps fight tooth and nail for the win again in Finland later in the season, I know winning Finland would transform his confidence and put him right back up there at the Top of the Sport

WRC » Tanak misses out on WRC2 win in Mexico

I cant help thinking how good The Fiesta R5 is for the money, its a fraction of the cost of a WRC Car. I Really hope Tanak can dominate the Championship and take the Title this year. If he can stay out of the bushes from here on in he may even get a Factory drive in 2015 if he is crowned Champion, but Malcolm wasn't very happy with him at the end of 2012 after is crash record for that season I think Tanak would be the perfect candidate for the Full time 2nd seat at Hyundai rather than a host of Tier 2 drivers like they have now, maybe Nanden is already thinking this.

WRC » Ostberg learns a lot en-route to third

For whatever reason I think that Mads Felt a bit washed up at M-Sport, He probably found it hard being in the same Team as Neuville with Thierry leaping straight to stardom and effectively stealing his Thunder, But he is making the most of a fresh start with a new Team. Im sure he can progress like this all season and maybe get a win somewhere in the season if Ogier slips up again, I still think Meeke will be the big surprise later on in the season though and could find himself fighting Ogier Hard for the odd win Either way I think Citroen is doing ok, they are certainly fairing better than Hyundai and M-Sport so far

WRC » Hirvonen shows potential

To be Honest I was a little disappointed by his performance. Besides Latvala and Ogier, Tanak, Mikklesen, and Ostberg also out performed him regularly. I hope he has better fortune in Mexico but I suspect he will be fighting for a Top 6 position rather than the Top step of the podium. Its a shame to see this, I hope he can dig really deep and find the extra speed that he needs to get back to where he was a few seasons ago. This is going to be a very difficult year for M-Sport, if Ford are thinking of coming back they need to get the Chequebook out and persuade some of the Top drivers that they have lost out on over the years. Maybe Latvala can be persuaded, I think Ogier and Neuville both signed a 3 year deal, but Im not sure about Latvala.

WRC » Ostberg looking to fight for victory in Sweden

I think this Guy has had a shot in the arm that is driving for an official Factory Team and being an Official works driver. I think that being chosen as an official works driver has given him more Confidence. He has been quick here in the past and I think it is possible for him to win if he goes at it straight away. But it will not be simply the fastest driver than wins this weekend, it will be the Guy with the best strategy who can be consistently quick. Much like it was in Monte, tyres will be the key, in fact specifically it will be stud retention. in 1996 Subaru lost all their studs and were well down the order. Ogier will be Lucky as he will open half of the stages on the 1st day so he should suffer the least but by 4th or 5th car there will be gravel and studs will have a hard time. Ogier could win this in Road Mode as first car could have a huge advantage if no more heavy snow falls.

WRC » Ogier: I'd love to win in Sweden again

Depending on how bad the Gravel situation is on day 1 Latvala, Ostberg and Mikko will all be making it tough for him to win it though. There could be a big difference running 1st with a reasonably hard packed snow covered road, Mads running 4th on the road could find a bit of gravel, Latvala too in 5th but Mikko in 10th or something like this will have the worst of the Gravel of the 4 potential winners, so he could have to back off to look after is studs its a shame there is not really any Ice underneath as there seems to be a fair bit of snow around

WRC » Evans: I'm feeling good about Sweden

Having a Really Nice Guy like Mikko as your Team Mate is Invaluable for Elfyn, Mikko will appreciate just how much his advice will help Elfyn from his days with Marcus when he was the student and Marcus was the old Master Mikko will probably find it tough this weekend though, due to his road position as there is no Ice underneath and it will be just straight down to the Gravel which is ok until you venture back onto snow having lost lots of the studs, especially under braking from high speed I think a consistent drive from Elfyn with no mistakes could possibly see him Repeat his Monte performance or around that area, maybe 7th, which will be a Good Result for his 1st time in Sweden.
