WRC » Citroen reveals driver line-up for WRC 2014

lol - for aldo2654, Im sorry but what are you smoking there !!!! First off Ford cant Sack M-Sport as Malcolm Wilson is the Team Owner and he is finding and has found funding to run his own Team Secondly where have you been Man ??? Prodrive couldn't hold a candle to M-Sport, both Teams have a car and both teams have lost their Manufacturer financial support for differing reasons, yet only M-Sport could successfully find the funding to compete without the money from the Manufacturer with two or more drivers in the WRC this year Prodrive struggled to even run 1 driver on selected events without Money from Mini, but M-Sport ran a minimum of 5 cars all season long What you have said about M-Sport is the same as someone giving you a free brand new car like a 911 and you saying you would prefer to swap it for a Peugeot 207 instead ! it just makes NO SENSE AT ALL !!!! sorry, but I hope the clouds are starting to part there for you - lol

This is great news for Meeke, Finally he gets to be a proper works drive, im sure he will do really well, also I fully expected Morten Ostberg would do what it takes to get his son in the Team too. I can see Meeke beating Ostberg next year more times than not. Meeke just needs to take it a little easy and make sure he doesnt put it off as much, or at all lol This is great for Mikko too as his return to the M-Sport Qatar WRT will soon be announced and obviously Novikov will also be announced too, maybe there will also be a 2nd driver announcement for the Qatar M-Sport WRT to compliment Al Attiyah. So it looks like everyone is ready for monte and we now have 4 Major Teams, well 5 if you include the two M-Sport teams I wonder if Kubica will run the WRC Car next year or stay with the RRC car until the new R5 comes along ??? Havnt heard anything on th grape vine, oh well, he said he wasnt in any rush to decide anything, guess the Bus left without him - lol !!!!!!

I will be honest, I don't like Kubica. Yes ok he was an F1 Driver, which makes him extremely fast in anything that has a steering wheel, but his constant playing down of the sports appeal to him really does stick in my crawl. Rallying is difficult and drivers have to fight to get chances, look at Meeke for example. This guy acts like he is the Big Cheese Kubica announces that he is in no rush to decide about his future and he will consider the many offers from various teams, well its like he thinks he is Sebastian Loeb or something, well that he Aint !! I think the likes of Elfyn Evans will go much further in the sport given the right chances to grow and improve. Malcolm is the right guy to bring him on too. I think Kubica should stay driving an RRC Car and then later on in the year the all new R5 Car - until he can decide what he wants to do. If he drive a fiesta WRC just hope it is with his own money and not as an official driver

WRC » Kubica steps up to top level in WRC with M-Sport

No doubt he will get some good results, I don't necessarily agree with Malcolm on Roberts commitment, but he has a natural speed and seems to adapt very easily and quickly. Now Malcom needs to get involved and sort him out a top co driver and quickly I am assuming that Qatar WRT will be Al-Attiyah and Novikov as Kubica should become the Lotos WRT 1 man band run by M-Sport

It all depends on how Mikko will go back in a Fiesta, he could do a Gronholm and Bloom late on, but I think his best years are behind him sadly. He is a brilliant Guy and a pleasure to have in a Team unlike some drivers, and he is very close to Malcolm and M-Sport I think he will have a few more surprises up his sleeve though, he has a few seasons yet where he can win Rallies, he has the knowledge and the speed so all he has to do is get his mojo back and the wins will undoubtedly come Malcolm knows this fact only too well and that's partly why he has welcomed him back with open arms, he said months ago that Mikko is walking around the service park with a long face so if nothing else having him back will revive that happy smile again, Mikko is usually so happy and it will in fact be nice to see him bouncing around again.

Another fact worth considering is the imminent and Official Return of Ford to the WRC. I dont think it will be for the 2014 season but i would guess that an announcment could be made towards the end of next season in preparation for the 2015 season and drivers transfer market so Malcolm has half a chance of securing some Top drivers. Malcolm has lost all of his drivers in the last 2 seasons due to lack of Manufacturer status, only mikko has or is to Return. Hopefully Ford will announce it early enough for Malcolm to secure the signatures that he wants. Malcolm deserves that much after the pressure of the last 2 seasons trying to survive without them.

WRC » Skoda to develop Fabia R5 for 2015

This is exactly like when Mitsubishi announced they were finally going to develop a WRC Car two years after everyone else had already switched from GpA to WRC and gained an advantage from the new Rules, the Group A Lancer Evo 6 was so good that they didnt rush to develop a WRC Car and by the time they had it was already too late, the competition had stolen the march on them Skoda should have developed an R5 Car by now, they are easily the Manufacturer with the best S2000 Car and that is their only thing, with no WRC Car they should of made it their priority to be first to Launch their all new R5 Car, now they will spend all 2014 developing the new car while the likes of Ford, Peugeot and Citroen have it away Oh well, as the saying goes Better Late than Never !
