WRC » Latvala looks to positives despite 'disappointment'

I think Ogier is very complete and seems to hardly ever trip up, Jari is possibly the one driver who can beat him in a straight fight on any stage next year I think Neuville could of if he had stayed at M-Sport, maybe I am just not giving michael Nanden enough credit I think Jari has come on lots this season, he took a step bback in order to take two forward which was needed i think. It will be very interesting for sure but i would say for now that Ogier is going to be the one to beat for sure

WRC » ERC: Lappi wins Swiss finale

Again, if I were Malcolm I would be taking a very serious and close look at Lappi for 2014 and possibly beyond. This kid could easily be the Next Neuville if Malcolm were to take im under his wing and Nurture him as he did with Neuville this year Ok he has a contract with Skoda, but Malcolm is Good at Contracts, Remember Solberg left Ford Mid Contract, also Burns left Subaru Mid Contract to join Peugeot, this would be a Skoda contract and not even specific to a champonship, its just a sort of retainer. Lappi needs Malcolm and Malcolm needs Lappi Hirvonnen and Lappi would be a Good Pairing and I am sure they would get on famously, Mikko would be a huge help like Marcus was to him almost decade ago

WRC » Al-Attiyah withdraws from season finale

Its a shame for Al Attiyah, I like him, hes a good guy. I would suggest that if Malcolm was looking at a new driver signing for next year who is not already competeing on Rally GB (I.E. Tanak) he would quickly pop them in the car for this event at short notice, but if they are not already doing the recce today then I dont think they will persue that plan on safety grounds. If I were Malcolm I would now upgrade Elfyn Evans to the WRC Car of Al Attiyah for his home event and see if he could maybe get a Top 5 overall result, at least he could gauge how well he goes against Kubica (also in a WRC Car for Rally GB) If there were a it more notice I am sure that you would of seen someone like Haydon Paddon fill in for Al Attiyah, Lappi is still under contract for Skoda so that would not be possible, and im not even sure if Malcolm is taking to Lappi anyway. I am just assuming he must be, based on his Huge potential and his age.

WRC » Toyota announces TMG GT86 CS-R3 rally car

This is Great news, a car that can be driven in a spectacular fasion by drivers with Flair ! Toyota seem to be gingerly coming back to Rallying though, I would prefer if they came back with a Full WRC car in 2015 and created thier ladder after, better to know where your heading and have to figure out how you are going to get there than starting on the bottom step of a 1 step ladder that goes no where

WRC » M-Sport looks to future after Neuville exit

Well the fact that VW walked out of the talks says that there are real issues with the promotional side of the WRC RedBull who also sponsor VW hold the rights to promote the Sport and yet havnt done anything in the UK to promote the sport over here where Rallying is home to M-Sport and Prodrive Redbull being the Main Sponsor for the VW Team who have just won both the drivers and Manufacturers titles in the first year back in the Sport could cause problems with the relationship between VW and RedBull if it doesnt pull its socks up. Its sad after VW and Hyundai have spent Millions on creating a new Team and new cars to enter the sport. I would guess VW are very dissapointed with their sponsor, imagine whats going on behind the scenes with them both !

WRC » M-Sport looks to future after Neuville exit

Yes certainly Ott Tanak could be a consideration for Malcolm, i think he showed more potential than Mads and Evgeny, although with Evgeny he has always had the speed but is prone to big crahes when let off the Leash He is under Malcolms control at the moment but the Russian also has the financial backing for now, I think the issue with Tanak is the lack of funding, he had the promise but you have to appreciate that Malcolm is running a Business first and a Team second. There are lots of talented drivers out there, Essapeka Lappi is a Star in the making but who knows if he will make it into the WRC, Hanninen didnt or hasnt so far. I think given the choices Malcolm could do worse than Mikko and Meeke (on a Leash) lol

WRC » Hyundai confirms Neuville

There is always a risk in signing for a new Team where the car is yet to be proven, but Ogier had the confidence in VW and ironically declined an offer from M-Sport and has been rewarded with a car that wins out of the box However, Hi and dry is a very different animal to VW, I was a little surprised by the signing, if the car isnt competitive Thierry could soon come to regret his decision The Fiesta is good enough to win and M-Sport will carry on with its development so he had no worries there,he had a reasonable chance to fight for the Title in 2014 if he stayed on, but now he could indeed risk going backwards like when Mcrae left Ford to join Citroen in 2003

WRC » M-Sport looks to future after Neuville exit

Well, this throws my theory right out of the window. As speculated last week Neuville is the key to all the drivers tranfer market. Maybe M-Sport should try and sign Mikko and Meeke so Malcolm can help Meeke, i really do think that guy has something special Dont forget Neuville crashed a lot at Citroen but had the speed before Malcom got hold of him and straightened him out. Malcolm has what it takes to bring drivers on, Drivers with promise go to M Sport and Malcolm moulds them into stars of the future, on the other Hand drivers go to Citroen and its sink or swim, quite the opposite. Maybe if M Sport sign Meeke and Mikko then that will force Citroen to sign Sordo and Cubica, not wishing to offend the two latter drivers but that would be by far the weakest drivers team in 2014 and could spell the end for Citroen, there is that much on the line with driver decisions.
