WRC » M-Sport looks to future after Neuville exit

For General : He could and he did win at Ford actually Malcolm obviously knows why Mikko has had a rough time at Citroen and he obviously knows and feels that Mikko can return to winning ways again with M Sport I will be honest with you general, I find it offensive that you refer to Hirvonnen as a waste, this guy has beaten Loeb fair and square on Rally Finland in the past, a Rally that takes something really special to win, Mikko has also won on Rally GB, both while at Ford Yes he hasnt had a good run at Citroen but i think he is M Sport bound again, and to be honest, Malcolm needs him back now Neuville has announced his departure. This is a really crucial time for Driver selection for both M Sport and Citroen

WRC » Hyundai completes 15 days of testing with i20 WRC in October

I really hope Hyundai dont sign Neuville, I know they need him or they will not have the impact like VW have done But M-Sport need him more, especially if Hyundai are chasing both Neuville and Ostberg together, Its all right up in the Air right now, I have a feelng that maybe Ostberg will go to Citroen and Mikko will come back to M-Sport, Malcolm almost thinks of Mikko like a son. They were very close. M-Sport would be a Title contender with Neuville and Mikko. Maybe Citroen will go with Ostberg and Sordo Who knows who Hyundai will go with, I was thinking Ostberg and Solberg, but I think Ostberg is pushing for the Citroen seat, Maybe Meeke will sign with Hyundai, even Meeke and Solberg would be ok for the Maiden season. Its all possible

WRC » Kubica undecided on future plans

lol, I did indeed do the R.A.C. in its last year in 1997 when it was the Network Q R.A.C Rally. I did it in the works spec Black Network Q Nova GSi, we were fighting for 2nd or 3rd with Jimmy McRae who was driving for Hyundai in the works Accent S1600 in what was the JWRC category, but we landed heavy flat in 6th when we went strght on over an Absolute left on crest crest at about 120mph and lost 15 minutes driving slow without a sump gaurd for rest of that one and the next loop of 3 stages We also lost time in the dark on the penultimate Night with a split Manifold that meant we couldnt run the Big Lights in the dark due to the alternator struggling, we finally finished 5th in the JWRC Category but at least we got to the finish and collected some prize money and a nice big trophy - lol, this was when you had spectator specials on day 1 in Chatsworth and Blenheim Palace etc, I never liked them but I loved driving in the Dark, it was awesome ! Memories !

WRC » Kubica undecided on future plans

Going back to the Kubica thing it is going to be really interesting to see how he goes on GB compared with Paddon in Spain. I realise Paddon didnt test on Gravel (The more important surface to test on) but i think the Gap between RRC to WRC is less than S2000 to WRC so he shouldnt find it too different S2000 to WRC is huge as the power is all different especially the deliery of power and therefor the grip and the driving technique is all totally different and new I am not sticking up for Paddon but Kubica should find it a lot easier to perform in a WRC car coming from an RRC Car and will probably have a Gravel test too, I still cant see him getting any higher than 6th or 7th though, unless the attrition rate is really high

WRC » Kubica undecided on future plans

He is clearly very talented, only the best make it into F1, I also think that he has more potential in Rally than Raikkonen but i cant see him being a works driver yet I think he will struggle on GB as he does not have the experience, which is why i think Matton is wrong to consider him for 2014 as a works driver and why it is a waste of an opportunity to have him do GB, he could get a top 4 if a few crash out but that goes without saying Ostberg is easy to gauge as he will be driving on GB, Meeke however is now out of a drive on GB so it will be hard to make a final decision, maybe if Meeke drove on GB, if he crashes again then that makes the decision easier for Matton, I fail to see the wisdom in his decision to have Kubica drive a WRC on GB

WRC » Kubica undecided on future plans

I understand his situation entirely, but given the circumstances i think Citroen is barking up the wrong tree. Meeke would be better off being given Khalids DS3 for GB as he is still on the shortlist for 2014 Kubica may not even be in the WRC next season and it is no secret that his heart is somewhere else. Giving Kubica the drive would be like dating a girl who fancies your mate, I cant believe Matton is even considering this as an actual option Kubica has gone extreemly well this season and has produced not only the speed but also the consistancy, but his heart isnt really in it so that is that surely. Sordo is easily the equal of Kubica so if i were Matton i would be saying better the Devil you know

WRC » Paddon eighth in Spain on WRC car debut

Well that certainly wanst the result that i was expecting as Paddon has always dominated WRC2 in an S2000 Car not even an RRC but i suppose there must be a huge difference between an S2000 Skoda and a WRC Fiesta This plus the fact that he had never driven the car on gravel before the Rally. Maybe he will get a shot at a WRC seat for 2014 with someone like Lotos or Qatar WRT but i cant see him being a works driver just yet
