WRC » Solberg set for proper return?

Good for Henning ! I really hope he can get the budget together and have some leftover for some reasonable testing to allow him to show his true speed and ability He has always been spectacular in a World Rally Car and he is always laughing and joking and goofing around. Just an all round Top guy and I would imagine he would lift the moral in any Team that is lucky enough to have this Guy driving for them. I think He belongs at M-Sport though, he has so much experience in the WRC, between him and Mikko I think both Elfyn and Kubica should be able to learn a lot from them and learn it fast. Fingers crossed he hits the Jackpot and gets a Top Car for the rest of 2014.

WRC » Kubica: I must somehow reset myself...

I am just relieved for Malcolm that its not Mikko or Elfyn that keeps going off as the Budget is peanuts for this year and its mostly Malcolms Money Roberts Sponsor is obviously forking out the Insurance excess, I dread to think what the premium is to insure Robert Kubica on a WRC Car after his last few Rallies Personally I cant see him making the grade as a Top WRC Driver

WRC » Hyundai to give Sordo Argentina chance

I think this is very smart of Hyundai, as stated in a previous post I think Dani is very quick when his confidence is up and he feels happy. It seems Citroen always manages to kill a drivers momentum, Sordo, Ogier and recently Mikko all became unhappy there and left, maybe Sordo just suddenly feels free and appreciated at Hyundai and has no stress or pressure from his new Boss, maybe he is actually enjoying himself I think his state of mind has everything to do with how he is driving. I know that the WRC now looks a lot healthier with Hyundai joining. There is finally Good competition between M-Sport / Hyundai and Citroen, they just need to be able to Rein in VW but that is not so easy with Ogier behind the wheel, its not the Polo so much as the driver behind the wheel Hopfully, even with Ogier sitting pretty out front there can be some Huge battles for the next 6 places and this will not only make following the sport more interesting but prove to other Manufacturers like Toyota that

WRC » 'Milestone' stage wins for Hyundai in Portugal

You cant fault their determination, it would seem that they have now resolved the Briggs and Stratton engine issues and are now very capable of setting fastest times with the Car. I was very surprised to see Danny leading Neuville and Hanninen, he has been surprisingly quick on selected Gravel events in the past, I think its all down to motivation with Sordo, maybe Citroen kept him guessing himself, I know when he is having a bad day on Gravel it really is Bad Its good to see him sticking his name up there though, certainly a performance out of reach of his Team mates Hanninen and Atkinson, Maybe next year he will partner Neuville Full time in the 2nd seat if he can keep this performance up. I hope they now extend his programme of events. Its good for the sport.

WRC » Evans thanks mechanics after doing 'brilliant job' to fix his car

Its all experience for him, the corner where he went off was very deceptive and it caught out few top drivers. It was Flat in 6th on the approach which is around 200KPH and looked to be what I would maybe call a right 2 light - drop outide ! When you do the Recce it would look less of a threat at just 50kph but its an aweful lot of speed to suddenly drop while still trying to carry the maximum speed possible through the corner itself, Meeke didn't even start to turn in by comparison, but did admit to having issues with his notes on that stage Elfyn is doing extremely well and is mixing it with the Top drivers, some of his splits showed he had the speed in places, I think he will get faster and faster and grow in confidence and he could soon string together a batch of fastest splits later in the season to set his first WRC fastest stage time.

WRC » Hirvonen: This result will boost everyone

I totally agree with Malcolms comments, Mikko deserves huge credit for his performance and persuit of Ogier in Portugal, the best I have seen him drive for a while, I hope this is a sign of things to come for Mikko, as I have said previously, he still has his old speed in there somewhere and he certainly showed us a glimpse of that on the weekend I am glad I recently decided that I would hop across to Finland later in the season, I think there will be a huge fight there with maybe half a dozen drivers all fighting for the win, it could prove to be the most exciting Rally Finland in years. Well done to Mikko and M-Sport for pushing Ogier so hard It exciting to hear Mikko say that we can look forward to even closer fights in coming Rallies, that's the fighting talk that I was hoping to hear from the Pixie, nothing would make me more happy than to see him fight tooth and Nail with Ogier and come out on top. Fingers crossed for him
