MotoGP » Sepang MotoGP test times - Wednesday (Final)

Insidejob: "Someone made a good point yesterday about how him and Silvano communicate in Italian, rather than in English like he did with JB. Might be a factor" Might not be a factor as during the winning years they communicated in English. I get the feeling we may see some changes tomorrow but am impressed with Aleix, fastest in Open. Rossi, fastest Yamaha. Smith, fastest Satellite. MM, fastest of all. Hang on, where are Hayden, Redding and the Open Honda riders? Excuse me Nakamoto San, can they have a few more ponies? We don't want to lose face to Yamaha!
Yep, take your point, But during the winning years....he was winning. Absolutely not pointing any fingers at JB, he was a legend, but something had to change, and speaking in your native language must be a help. Therefore, it must be a factor, but to what extent, I dont have a clue

Hondas looking good. Does anyone know if Bradl got a tow? Another good day from Rossi. 0.4 up on yesterday which is good. Someone made a good point yesterday about how him and Silvano communicate in Italian, rather than in English like he did with JB. Might be a factor. Waaaaay to early to tell yet though. I fully expect JLO to be right back up there before the end of the testing. Aleix Espargaro is the star of the show so far though. Brilliant effort so far!!

Codger: Number of laps less than 2.01.00 :- Marc - 19 !!! Dani - 3 Stefan - 3 Rossi - 5 Aleix - 1 Jorge - 11 !! Aleix and Jorge look to be in the wrong places.
Hi Codger...Thats interesting. I was looking for those stats. Where do you get them? JLO will be pretty pleased with that. Remember testing last season, it wasn't JLO's raw pace necessarily, it was the fact that his race simulations were terrifyingly consistent. As for Marquez....What else can you say??

MotoGP » Sepang MotoGP test times - Tuesday (Final)

Wow, Its definitely only going to be Rossi and Marquez fighting for the championship........ Only joking. Good stuff from them though, but jlo pedro and MM will keep cranking it up. Rossi has to prove he can continuously improve and be consistent these days. Good luck to him though. Is a good start Bradley Smith should be worried. Cal, shouldn't worry yet. Pretty much what he should have expected.

MotoGP » Surgery for MotoGP star Jorge Lorenzo

@ hoppy - absolutely. He was great to watch this year. Similar to Marquez, the falls don't seem to phase him. He just gets up and goes faster. In the movie "fastest" he talks about "the fear". He's obviously aware of it, and the dangers associated with the sport. It would be great to understand the mental process of just getting on and going faster!! As, with Jorge, its not just balls, there's brains there too Jorge was massively admirable this year on and off the track. Hopefully surgery goes well!

MotoGP » Should MotoGP change its points system?

It's a bad idea. If a driver is comfortably in the lead of a championship by around 20 / 25 points, and has a first corner incident in the final race, through no fault of his own, he would probably lose a championship. which should have been his. That is not a good spectacle. That is watching someone get robbed. The beneficiary would also feel like they didn't deserve the championship. However, saying that, it will put a lot of focus on the final race, which will be exciting, I suppose, but it will leave a bad taste if someone is too hard done by!
