MotoGP » Marquez, Pedrosa agreement 'almost impossible'

This is ridiculous now. It's just to add some drama to a championship that is pretty much over. I get the argument that if you were to add all his hard moves up, it looks worse, but to me, they are irrelevant.Penalties need to be judged on an incident by incident basis. Not an accumulation over different races. Rossi has been riding in the top flight for approx 50 or 60 years now (thats what it feels like anyway). should they add all his "infringements" up and send him to jail or something????? Nobody has yet stated the exact rule that Marquez could be penalised for. What is it???? word for word??? This is all just to appease the Pedro and JLO fans It is ridiculous and discgracegul to put undue pressure on a young rookie who has, in my opinion, been the most exciting thing to happen to moto gp in years. All he has done, is race to win. If that is going to now be penalised, Dorna can go fudge themselves

MotoGP » POLL: Should Marc Marquez be penalised?

@ samas - agreed. I think it would be disgraceful if he gets any type of penalty, but a back of the grid or a pit start would be awesome to watch. However, according to some guys on here, that would probably result in some sort of genocide and most of the riders dying, as he's obviously some sort of psychopathic murderer deliberatley out to kill anyone who gets in his way!! :) and I'm the one being told to "get real" lol

@ BurroMiapanino - Yeah, I get what you're saying, and obviously it's unfortunate that Pedrosa crashed out, but the move wasn't necessarily dangerous. Its as much Pedrosa's fault for slowing down too much. In other words, a racing incident. Put it this way. I'm a massive Rossi fan. When Bautista hit Rossi in Mugello, that, to me, was a racing incident. It had a massively dramatic consequence, but it wasn't illegal. Catalunya to me was much more dangerous and, in my opinion, should have come with a penalty, even though he didn't take anyone else out. He was Waaaay over his limits. In Aragon, Marquez proved he was in control, as he stood it up (to avoid contact as much as possible) and he was able to go on. Pedrosa was just downright unlucky. Honda are the ones who are at fault for having such an important part of the bike so exposed. Not once this season have I thought Marquex should have been penalised. Agressive moves?....Yes (and long may they continue) Illegal moves?....Nope

@ ultimatepiece33 - also, looking at your own logic. If the accident had have had more serious consequences, you think more people would be asking for a penalty. Flip that argument around. What if Pedrosa hadn't have crashed on that corner? WOuld it still be a penalty (in your opinion)? If you say no, then no penalty should be considered as it is the move that is meant to be penalised, not the fall out.

@ ultimatepiece33 - you're completely missing the point. The only reason to penalise somebody is if they broke the rules. he didn't break the rules. he didn't deliberately barge in to pedrosa. It was a racing incident A racing incident means that these things can just happen considering the dangerous nature of the sport. If you don't like it, maybe watch a different sport. If Pedrosa had have been seriously injured, or it caused a pile up, and several people were injured, my opinion would be the same. No penalty. Unfortunately, these things can just happen. This is racing.
