MotoGP » Valentino Rossi enjoys 'fun' charge, rues slow start

Even if Rossi had have qualified fourth, he would have still been pretty happy with a fourth place finish in my opinion. Its pretty much his least favorite track. Therefore, to finish fourth from 9th was a great come back and fantastic damage limitation. Of course, I want him to be challenging for the win, and qualifying on front row, but I wasn't expecting anything special on this particular circuit. Therefore, I'm really happy with that result. I'm expecting him to be closer in Brno though. It was a great fight for the last few laps. Well done to all 3 for keeping everything upright. I had a horrible feeling Alvo was going to bowl them all out. Fair play to him. Lessons learned I think,.

MotoGP » Crutchlow eyed WSBK during rookie season

@ samas, ha, I knew you weren't calling me names, I was just messing about. I don't blame people for not pushing a bike OVER the limit regualrly, but I understand you have to do that every now and again to find out what the limit is. Rossi had a few nasty moments while pushing and just refused to do it after a while. I actually don't blame him either, although of course it was disappointing. Cal's a bit more fearless I think. My only concern would be, he had to push to get that factory ride. He's got the big pay cheque now, will the same motivation be there?? Only time will tell.

@ samas, who you calling a cont?? :) yeah, we've been over that same old argument a billion times on this site. ad nauseam!! why did you have to bring it up on this thread? it is extremely boring, and troll like. Plus, I notice you didn't answer my questions like I guessed. We all expected more from Rossi. It was a disaster, but he did better than anyone else in Ducati while he was there, and did better than Dovi is doing now, so, my point being, he didn't exactly "swan around", like you stated. He's human though, and it took it's toll on him. The good thing for Cal though, he's going in with his eyes wide open, and the Rossi saga takes the pressure off him to some extent. I think he'll do OK there. What "OK" is in Ducati though, I don't know any more. Oh, and 7 premier titles and currently sitting fourth in the standings when people had written him off completely is just talking the talk is it???? Please. Give him some credit!!
