MotoGP » Yamaha seeking Silverstone ‘revenge’

@ poddy - rossi won the race in Assen in front of the two hondas the time Lorenzo was out. I dont think he could have done much more than that. Lorenzo has been beaten by both hondas as much as rossi has this season. I'm not claiming Rossi is faster (or as fast) as Lorenzo this season, but the Hondas would still be winning no matter who was on the number 2 yamaha seat. Who do you think should be there? Ben Spies?

MotoGP » Czech MotoGP, Brno - Free Practice (1)

@ Hoggy - None of it means too much at this stage. However, something I've noticed about Rossi , even in the Duc days, on race day, he can keep pace with people who were within 0.5 of him in qualifying. Its something I always keep an eye on, and it seems to work regularly enough for it being a "finger in the air" type of notion for the race ahead. People who qualify more than 0.5 ahead of him, disappear. (Cal being the exception that proves the rule - He's an awesome qualifier!!)

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi enjoys 'fun' charge, rues slow start

@shanefireblade - I kind of agree, although I still think he needs a little more time to get his eye in more. The Ducati spell definitely took it's toll and he is older now, so it takes a little more time to adjust. The battle to fourth still proves he's got it though as, yes, it was well behind the leading pack, but it was no mean feat considering the poor qualifying (another topic for improvement). But, yes, fourth is not worth a ticker tape parade. He showed in Assen what he's capable of. To prove that wasn't a fluke, I agree he needs more consistency. Brno will be a very good measure of his potential because its a good track for him. Let's see next week
