MotoGP » POLL: Should Marc Marquez be penalised?

@ BurroMiapanino - Yeah, I get what you're saying, and obviously it's unfortunate that Pedrosa crashed out, but the move wasn't necessarily dangerous. Its as much Pedrosa's fault for slowing down too much. In other words, a racing incident. Put it this way. I'm a massive Rossi fan. When Bautista hit Rossi in Mugello, that, to me, was a racing incident. It had a massively dramatic consequence, but it wasn't illegal. Catalunya to me was much more dangerous and, in my opinion, should have come with a penalty, even though he didn't take anyone else out. He was Waaaay over his limits. In Aragon, Marquez proved he was in control, as he stood it up (to avoid contact as much as possible) and he was able to go on. Pedrosa was just downright unlucky. Honda are the ones who are at fault for having such an important part of the bike so exposed. Not once this season have I thought Marquex should have been penalised. Agressive moves?....Yes (and long may they continue) Illegal moves?....Nope

@ ultimatepiece33 - also, looking at your own logic. If the accident had have had more serious consequences, you think more people would be asking for a penalty. Flip that argument around. What if Pedrosa hadn't have crashed on that corner? WOuld it still be a penalty (in your opinion)? If you say no, then no penalty should be considered as it is the move that is meant to be penalised, not the fall out.

@ ultimatepiece33 - you're completely missing the point. The only reason to penalise somebody is if they broke the rules. he didn't break the rules. he didn't deliberately barge in to pedrosa. It was a racing incident A racing incident means that these things can just happen considering the dangerous nature of the sport. If you don't like it, maybe watch a different sport. If Pedrosa had have been seriously injured, or it caused a pile up, and several people were injured, my opinion would be the same. No penalty. Unfortunately, these things can just happen. This is racing.

No penalty. Did nothing wrong. He stood it up to try and avoid an accident. These things happen. He's unlucky the result was so dramatic and has ended Pedrosa's chances. If it happened earlier in the season, we wouln't be having this debate. I would love to hear the justification for people who think he should be disqualified. Is that really your opinion, or do you just want to see a closer contest for the championship?

MotoGP » Marquez: 'Pedrosa has to win the title'

@ Talentfan - I don't think its possible to remove money from the equation. However, I don't fully understand your point about Honda buying the championship. From 2004 to present Yamaha have 6 riders win it, Honda have 2 and Ducati have 1. When it comes to constructors, yamaha have 4, Honda have 4 (in that time period). Honda are therefore not dominating in the way you say, and therefore a major separating factor between the 2 is the riders. Not arguing with you, just not sure where this perceived Honda dominance is coming from. I think Marquez would be in contention for the championship if he was also on a Yamaha to be honest.

Can't make my mid up whether this is mind games, or just plain honesty and level headedness. Either way, it affirms for me he is still, by far, the favourite. Poor Dani. Thats a lot of pressure to take, but you can't take your eye off him. He'll always be fast. However, I still think Jorge is his main threat. However, JLO's going to have to "win it or bin it" a couple of times, therefore arguably handing the advantage back to Marquez.

MotoGP » Casey Stoner tipped to quit V8 Supercars

@ Wylie, that a strange definition of quitting you have, ha. Quitting is quitting. Rossi finished a contract, and signed a new one. Casey quit. I'm not bashing him for it, but your logic is mental And Casey is not qualifying well. What planet are you on? I think Casey is awesome, but your sychophantic rants are mind boggling
