MotoGP » Rossi: I must go faster if I want to fight for title

People do seem to be complaining of tyre wear a lot this year. It happened to Dani a couple of times, and JLO in Le Mans kept sliding. Big question marks over Bridgestone this year! Rossi was on the pace in qualifying, and went backwards in the race. This is unusual for him, so I think its a genuine excuse. He surrendered second so as to not repeat his mistake in Le Mans. He knew Cal was faster, and decide to just bring it home. Disappointing? Yes, but its better than putting it in the dirt. Still a good points haul on a circuit he's not massively fond of.

MotoGP » 'We never gave up' - Rossi on MotoGP victory return

@ Talent Fan. Possibly a factor. In my opinion though, he just does great aggressive block passes (the pass on Bradl in Assen was the best example last weekend). He then manages to conserve his tyres while holding strong defensive lines. All of this has to do with having a VERY VERY SPECIFIC front end feel. This is his greatest strength and, as Ducati showed, his greatest weakness

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi: One of my best victories ever

@ True fan. I'll accept that. I was referring from 2007 onwards. Got my sums wrong :/ It works both ways though. Ducati were pretty stubborn too. The weakness in the bike was disguised by Stoners brilliance. The fact they needed Rossi to flop on the bike to acknowledge a problem is a failure on Ducati's part. They failed Rossi and Stoner, 2 of the greatest riders ever! Yeah, Rossi was a flop on the Ducati. It was a massively humbling experience for him, which might actually do him good. As for Assen being a flash in the pan, I hope not. It is a worry, as it was set up nicely for him to take the win, but he won it convincingly. Only time will tell. Nice to have another winner though too

@ Ridge Racer - Oh, its NOT about championships now. LOL. Seriously dude. Take the advice. Stop trying to labour this point. You're just plain wrong. Rossi is one of the greatest of all time. Casey definitely had the potential too, but he was unlucky to start on a Ducati, but at the end of the day he couldn't defend his title with a Honda. There is therefore a question mark over Casey too. However, they are both brilliant. Dont try and put someones achievements down. Especially when its one of the most impressive records in sporting history!! Are you resorting to name calling now to prove your point?? Lol, does baby want his bottle???? hahahaha
