MotoGP » Rossi: Marquez made a mistake

Great win by rossi. He can definitely fight for this championship. Lorenzo is mis firing, dani is out of it, the duc's are competitive (but they are still on a learning curve with the bike), and Marquez has been rattled. I still think Marc is the favourite for the championship, but he has a tough fight on his hands. Well done Valentino, you're a fricking legend!!

MotoGP » Honda explains Stoner decision

Its a fair enough explanation. People calling bs are just disappointed, which is also fair enough. It's massively interesting however that casey is so "bummed" and disappointed. For someone who claimed to have no love for the series any more, this seems like he might have got some of the bug back (and his slight tendency to moan a little when he doesn't get his way) classic casey. The petulant genius! How brilliant would that be, with the strength of Mm, Vr, Jl and the ducs these days!!! Awesome sauce!! i don't think it would be the procession season 2011 was (in which casey was awesome, but the masses changed the channel). I think they'd be scrapping and bitching and fighting and racing!!! and it would be great craic!!!

MotoGP » Would Rossi have won without Marquez mistake?

I hate these hypothetical conversations, as they are pointless. Marquez' strength is that he rides on the limit, mote than anyone, but that is also why he lost. The result is therefore the result, However, IF marquez had not have made the mistake, he could have dragged rossi with him, and we could have had another epic battle like the previous 2 years. Rossi came from 11th 2 years ago and nearly won it, so, how far do we go back to discuss hypotheticals, or should we just stick to the facts. Rossi won, fair and square it was a great race, Marquez is still the favorite for the championship though. Simples.

MotoGP » MotoGP pay TV 'something we must face'

@shamarone - This isn't a debate about the morals of right or wrong for paying for TV. Some people just dont want to pay for stuff. Those people should know that you get what you pay for. So I agree with a lot of your points The real debate however is whether it is a right or wrong BUSINESS decision to move more towards pay per view subscription because it is a fact that your viewing figures will tumble. Therefore, do they make more money, ergo securing the future of the sport, through "free" tv, or subscription based viewing. I dont know the exact figures regarding Moto GP's / Dorna's finances, so I cant make a proper decision. Dedicated fans will be happy to pay a relatively small amount. The masses wont. Its therefore a business decision as to what is the best direction, not a moral one.

MotoGP » MotoGP pay TV 'something we must face'

RSMick: BBC isn't free and neither is Eurosport. €105 I have paid for multi-screen next year on motogp.com and you get a lot more than just the races, all off season is included as well.
Same as me, and I'm happy to pay, but how are you going to attract new fans, if they dont have easier access to the sport? Do you expect people to pay before they have ever watched a race?
All I see on the site is an offer of 34.95€ for multiscreen up to March 2015. There is no offer of a years subscription. Am I looking in the wrong place?
Probably just cos its off season. I think the annual pass is available from Feb / March onwards, although mine just renewed for the year automatically a few weeks ago.
