MotoGP » Casey Stoner to test MotoGP Honda

@ Dacron, fair enough, you might know more about bike engineering than me. In fact, most people will. Bottom line however (IN MY OPINION) is, I don't think he's being taken back mainly as a test rider. I think he's being taken back to sound out the demand for a return. We, as Moto gp fans, should make as much noise as possible to heighten the chances of his return. Although a lot of the Stoner fan boys put him on some god like pedestal and that he wouldn't return out of some higher found respect for pure bike racing, everyone has a price. Also, if he thinks he's wanted back and wouldn't have to put up with as much BS, he just might make a return. A rider of his talent HAS to be in Moto GP!!

Everyone is saying he definitely isn't coming back to moto gp in some shape or form, but this is game playing for me. Why would he do this if he didn't think it would get the rumour mill flowing. Also, I don't really see the point of having him as a test driver for any other reason than getting the rumour mill going. No one has ever ridden a bike like him before. He therefore wouldn't be a great test rider, because no one can ride a bike that hard. People make out this is a negative for him, to me, this is the positive he brings. He's a monster on that thing! @Dacron. I'm a Vale fan and would love to see him back. He's fantastic. Vale is massively more competitive now, so we might see a tussle, which would be epic. If he only came back for PI though, people may just forget it. He'll destroy the field.
