MotoGP » Rossi: I still need to beat Lorenzo

JLO is still in a good position. He is more than capable of winning 5 on the trot, and if he does that, he deserves the championship. No one wins a championship without deserving it. Same goes for Rossi. If he can keep his consistency up, along with his ability for damage limitation this season, then he would also deserve it, in the end. Also, Marquez has nothing to lose now, so he'll go for the win every time, and it will be "win it or bin it". He'll know that from a fan perspective, that's what people like to see (as long as no one gets hurt, or taken out of a point scoring position) I'd love to know what MM is thinking right now!!

MotoGP » Lorenzo: Two mistakes, no regrets

2 Coments on this. Rossi and JLO both made mistakes in this race, However, people cheering when JLO hit the dirt should be ashamed. Maybe once he is up and walking away and knowing Rossi would take advantage of it, fair enough, but not while he is still flying through the air. That was a nasty accident and thankfully he is ok. Secondly, if you look at the run in this time last year, VR and JLO are almost identical. JLO took 5 points more than Vale in the last 5 races. Obviously not over, and I would argue that JLO's pace is better this year than last year, but so is Rossis. Again, advantage Rossi. Also, I know its a long shot, but I wouldnt rule Marc out completely. He will have an influence on this title in some shape or another, (I'm guessgin quite a controversial influence too). Cant wait. No more crashes though please guys. They aint pretty!

MotoGP » Lorenzo: Two mistakes, no regrets

Realist: It is obvious that too many people have way too much time on their hands. Psycho analyzing this rider and that rider, and being overly fastidious with every detail.......totally focused on minutia.
100% agree once again Realist. You are one of the few people on here that actually talk sense and use logic.
I think anyone who posts anything on crash has too much time on their hands, me included. But this is especially true if you are just posting to say that people who post details have too much time on their hands. Think of all the things I could have done instead of writing this. Endless possibilities.

It is inaccurate to compare the performance of the 2 riders against last years results, Aragon was a weird race due to weather, as was Valencia with Lorenzo pitting when in truth he didn't need to. And as for the race at Phillip Island which featured a mandatory pitstop...
Yep, agreed, we cant use it to predict the future, but if we're going to use anything, its the closest we have. Point being, there's nothing to suggest that either will run away and dominate the last 5 races, so therefore, its advantage Rossi, it could all be lost in a single race though (for example, a repeat of Aragon last year would have Lorenzo leading going to Japan)

MotoGP » Rossi resists Marquez in tense Dutch TT

I'm not dissappointed with Marc's attempt to pass, it was just aggressive, and I dont want him to stop doing that, as he is great fun to watch. However, when he was trying to suggest afterwards that rossi leant on him and was actually to blame is a bit stupid and disappointing from him. Does he actually think rossi would be able (not just willing) to pull off a move like that???? To anticipate marc coming in, lie on him, bounce of him, and skip across the gravel????? Really???? Thats your story????? Lol. We'll put it down to naievity and frustration Marc. Go and have a little sulk, and you can come back as a bigger and more mature racer. It'll do you good.

MotoGP » Rossi: Stoner comeback wouldn't make a lot of sense

It speaks volumes of his talent that most people inside and outside Moto GP would love to have him back, even though he slagged the series off and quit which, in my humble opinion, was more petulance than "honour". Despite what Rossi says, I think next year would be the best time to come back (if ever), because everyone will be thrown by the new regulations anyway, and Casey can be blisteringly quick after 1 or 2 laps. Yeah. Come back Casey. You're too good not to be in Moto GP. You'll regret not coming back whenever you hit 40 if you dont

MotoGP » Marquez tempted by 2014 chassis switch

DB8: Why not. Its a shame he's having such a bad season. However, being a rossi fan, I really hope he gets competitive again, as I think he can rattle JLO harder at the start of a race, more so than Rossi is able to at the minute
yeah, he tried rattling JL and ended up in the gravel. If he didn't fall, he would have been more of a problem to VR progress than rattling JL. VR would have wasted his time trying to pass MM. Anyway, does VR actually need some other riders help to beat JL?
No, I think its preferable that Rossi qualifies better to improve his results, and I think on the right day / track, he can do it. However, if Mark hadn't have crashed so often, we might have had a few closer races, and that plays more into Rossis strong points, rather than time attack style racing, which I also find boring.
