F1 » The Bulls are coming – Hamilton

107SS2009: the most frequently replaced parts are the MGU-K drive to the engine (replaced on all Renault engines in parc freme before the race
If that's the case I would say this is pointing to the ERS side as the likely culprit for the lack of performance from the Renault PU not the ICE part. It would also explain the need to burn more fuel to make up for inefficiencies in the ERS application.

107SS2009: HRC, you are right in saying that if any is missing it spells the need for more use of the IC power which in turn means more fuel use
Which is exactly the basis for my alternate theory, without any hard facts it could be either or both! But seeing as they are changing out parts of the ERS side of things, I'll stick with that :)

TR1: " Envy is the religion of the mediocre. It comforts them, it responds to the worries that gnaw at them and finally it rots their souls, allowing them to justify their meanness and their greed until they believe these to be virtues. "
