WRC » Meeke happy and delighted with podium

Great solid start to the season by Citroen, Watching Meeke it seemed obvious he was determined to finish & I'm sure that was a priority rather than pushing for a top position (still ended on the podium!), fast but sensible driving for the first (& prob most tricky) event. If he can post some solid finishes/results in the first part of the season, him go there after, as this guy has natural speed & can challenge at the front. Ogier has already said that Kris will be his closest challenger this year as they have history together in the junior classes in previous years. Ostberg too, well done, great drive. This new Citroen set up has the look of a great team in the making. Also, great to be able to follow the event properly again due to BT & Motors coverage....well done to both.

WRC » Ogier takes lead on Rallye Monte Carlo

Great live stage on BT sport this aft. (& same again tomorrow) ....Chris Atkinson excellent on guest commentary. Treacherous 1st day conditions, big balls needed !! great entertainment. Kubica again very fast today but poss overdriving.......& now gone off the road !! ......Ogier the bench mark now after a careful start yesterday (& wrong tyre choice for a stage) Meeke going very well, great but sensible driving. podium would be a great result on 1st event (espcially being the Monte !!) .........C'mon Kris !!!

WRC » BT Sport seals live WRC rights in UK

Great last some decent coverage, just shows that sometimes the competition of different channels / providers can work in viewer's favour..... BTW, (1234liftR) Garbage news ?? (you enjoy your highlights!) ,,,,,I have BT broadband & have had it for years (brief switch to someone else to see if the grass was indeed wasn't, so I quickly switched back. Absolutely fine service......& I live in the middle of no where, not in a town or city. Anyway.....roll on next week, happy days, just need a good result from Meeke now to kick the season off.......... C.mon Kris !!

WRC » Citroen reveals driver line-up for WRC 2014

in reply to.....aldo2654 aldo2654 Quote: "One reason Prodrive are the most proffesional team there is, they should be in F1" Huh?.....Whether they should be in F1 or not isn't a reason for them to be "the most profesional team there is" ? Then he say's....."weasel Ecclestone"..... "probabl some kind of bribe"... ...."nothing has ever been proven...... "YET" ..........!! Well I give up !!! ....aldo.... I'm not just having a go here but surely you need to make sense ?..... especially since you yourself have told us how much knowledge you have compared with everyone esle on here !

WRC » Citroen reveals driver line-up for WRC 2014

........aldo2654....Quote - "I would reckon that I have more knowledge than most on here about rallying" . .....that's quite a statement, considering you don't know who anyone else is, or who may comment on here !! After all that, i don't see your point ? so what ? You obviously think Prodrive are a 'PROFESSIONAL' outfit, fine I'm not doubting they are, but you obviously have some bugbear with M-Sport, why? they are as 'PROFESSIONAL' as Prodrive in that sense, how can Prodrive be the "only proper true PROFESSIONAL team" ....Who exactly are you saying have struggled to get sponsorship, Prodrive or M-Sport ?...this is not clear in your comment, but the answer is surely they aren't even in WRC at present, they only supply a small number of customer cars. I've nothing against Prodrive, far from it, a good friend works for them. The only "proper full WORKS cars are VW & Hyundai"....well, who said they weren't? everyone knows this.....even without your superior knowledge. I

WRC » Ostberg completes first Citroen test

The more I think about this new Citreon driver line up the more I like it, as both drivers really have the potential to deliver. Apart from the Mini disaster, Meeke hasn't been given his chance in WRC (always a lack of top seats), he may have only started 10 WRC events but he has a broad spread of experience (he's 34 years old) His showing in the (new) Mini (while it lasted) was impressive, his speed is unquestionable. Even though he eventually went off in both Finland & Aus, his speed was incredible & really think as @DafyddLarcombe says once he's (hopefully) eased his way into the WRC season he will be running near the front. Some drivers mature later in their career, but you could argue that Meeke is still only at the begining of his (WRC) career, but already has the speed & will only get better as he gets more rallies under his belt. Ostberg I've always rated as a talent, has good WRC experience & this move to Citroen could be just what he needs to make the move to the front. So, o

WRC » Citroen reveals driver line-up for WRC 2014

Yes, WRC is a better place with a happy Mikko at his best. If he can get competitive again, were in for a entertaining 2014. Although I do still see Ogier/Latvala hogging the first 2 places for most events (mostly in that order, but lets hope Latvala can up his challenge, as for now is the only driver with the ability to compete on a regular basis with Ogier (who has got the Loeb domination look about him already!) it will be interesting to see the battle for the 3rd postion, not sure how competitive the Hyundai will be for starters, I'm sure it won't be too far off the pace, but that's Hirvonen, Meeke, Ostberg, Neuville, Sordo (limited Hyundai programme?) & to a less frequent extent....Novikov, Mikkelsen (are VW running 3 cars every rally?) Hanninen (Again limited Hyundai season with Sordo?), Anderserson & making a regular impression hopefully.....Evans (I know I've left other out, but these are the main players to date)
