MotoGP » Pedrosa reveals complete collarbone fracture

I didn't initially like Dani when he came along to MotoGP. But he seems like the most level headed of them all. I dislike Puig in his corner, but I think Dani would enjoy winning the title more than anyone else, and for that reason I hope it happens for him this year. The pressure and expectation does seem to have got him to this point, though, and I'm sure it's now-or-never. It could be the first interesting title run-in since 2006.

WSBK » BMW announces WSBK withdrawal

Perhaps being naive, I'm not sure of the impact of this. WSB is likely to reduce costs by reducing complexity and the scope of allowed modifications. So if they're still making and updating the S1000RR, what's the difference to us? If the class gets closer to Superstock regulations, we might see all manufacturers represented and make access to the world stage more achievable. Also, hasn't every manufacturer 'withdrawn' from WSB at some stage over the last 10 years? I think so, but I could be corrected.

BSB » Josh Brookes - Q&A

Quite a straight shooting interview there! He'll not be getting a Honda ride anytime soon, and if you want to win a TT, that's your best chance. I was very critical and angry when josh first appeared on the bsb scene for the reasons he has mentioned, but it's good to see that he hasn't forgotten them. When he hit Simon Andrews, I was particularly peeved. Life goes on, though. Good on yer, Josh!

MotoGP » Lorenzo: I didn't think this was possible

Fair play to Jorge for riding whilst injured. There are two important points I'll make, though. 1) the collarbone is a natural crumple zone. It gives way, protecting your spine. Put a plate in there, and where would an impact loading travel to? Very poor decision to race a motorbike in that condition. 2) if jl can make fifth with such lack of movement, what does that say for this class of racing? If you're on such and such a bike, you'll still finish top six regardless. Not on one of those bikes? You'll still not beat a factory bike! Put it this way - if you had such a physical reduction, where would even jl finish in Moto2 and Moto3? Not even top 10. I'm not taking away from jl, but its a damning verdict for the premier class.
