RR » Adrian Archibald quits road racing

About ten years ago, the national scene was some of the best racing to be seen, with Archie, Ryan and the sadly missed Richard Britton trading places at the front lap after lap, week after week. Adrian has been a great road racer with plenty of trophies to be rightly proud of. I think he made the right decision at the right time. It's a strange mixture of sadness and gratitude for me when a great road racer retires, but obviously preferable to injury and worse. Many thanks Adrian, for your efforts and dignified successss over the years.

MotoGP » Vermeulen linked with Ioda MotoGP ride

There aren't many riders in the world who've actually won a motogp race. It gives the team a good insight, including bringing experience of how a motogp team is run, albeit not very successfully in the case of Suzuki. Chris never got going in the Kawasaki team, and was almost going to keep Sykes out of a rise this time last year. He's got it all to do again, but I hope he shows his skills again. There are a couple of crt riders that claimed Ducati scalps this season, so. They are definitely worth their place on the grid.

RR » BSB star Josh Brookes to race Isle of Man TT!

Some interesting comments here, some predictable and some rather familiar. Discussion is what this place is about, of course. But wouldn't it be interesting to see some kind of master bike competition, maybe with equal machinery for each discipline. Circuit race, mx, trials, etc and see who comes out on top? Something like the film 'on any Sunday'. Chuck in more variation than I've mentioned. McPint and Josh would be in the mix for sure.

MotoGP » Marc Marquez on the pace in first MotoGP test

Of course, we've no comparison for MMs first Motogp ride, as the rookie rule was there dor others, and dropped for him. I don't like him and never will. His ability is clear, but what he might not know is that his victories are tainted and hollow, as the authorities fall at his feet, just so he can sell breakfast cereals and bank accounts in Spain. It's this sort of lick-spittle stuff that might sell a million t-shirts, but is a huge turn off for bike fans.
