WSBK » EBR scores first points but with Pegram

I applaud EBR for giving this a go, when KTM are too chicken, BMW too cheap and plenty of others talk-the-talk, but that is all. We've seen ane enormous multi-national (pertronas) make a hash of this too, whilst not even producing a road bike. EBR have jumped in at the deep end and kudos to them for getting some points on the board. Their unconventional approach to some features is interesting technically and will help them establish an identity. What would you prefer? An aprillia engine in their own chassis? (Norton, anyone?) These guys are heros to me for really testing themselves and their products. Harley Davidson all but killed them, and here we are a couple of years later with their own bikes scoring WSB points!

WSBK » Frustrated Rea: I feel we’ve made zero progress

"Loyalist attitude" Not your fault, but in Northern Ireland, this has some different connotations....! Johnny needs some big reward from Honda for his time there, though. Probably the most talented rider in the paddock, but a long way off a title shot. It's an embarrassing lack of effort from the world's biggest motorcycle company. If it's not a factory spec. RCV for next season, Johnny, do one. Having said that, I'm sure he didn't make a move for the hound that Honda have provided Hayden, Redding et al. with this season. Woof!

MotoGP » Crutchlow calm as erratic engine ruins race

A big problemfor Cal is that Iannone and Dovi are making a fist of it. He is not. Everyone knows that luck comes and goes, but Cal's qualifying performance here was an embarrassment. Either he man's up and starts to behave like he wants it, or Ducati should do the decent thing and cut him loose. Within his two year contract, I reckon that Gigi will have the Ducati finishing in the top five every time. Cal has maybe turned his volume control down to try and still be in the team for that, but there's nothing to commend him this year.

RR » TT2014: Dunlop relieved as brother released from hospital

the tt is 85% rider, 15% bike. so probably the exact opposite of MotoGP. The Ulster Grand Prix is still the greatest Road Race of all, btw. The TT is a time trial, which takes away from it a bit as a spectacle. Head-to head Dunlops, Cummins, Martin, Anstey et al. in August anyone??? And 6 races in one day?!?! And people moan about £25 entrance for that lot!

WSBK » Loris Baz - Q&A

It's a massive year for Baz who is well established following last season and now has to be seen to be a front runner, not just a wing man. I'm sure Tom is sore, and it's been grinding him a bit that Baz has really made him work for some race wins this year, but it's been a great spectacle and it's been going just as it should be. Tom should also note that having a strong team mate will deny his rivals points. Loris has already kept plenty of points off Tom's main rivals, and this accident maybe cost 17 points at the very most. It was no banzai move, and he's held his hands up and explained his position quite clearly. I like Baz even more than before after this useful interview.
