RR » Dunlop confirms roads exit from BMW Motorrad

the fact that 2 teams , with whom he has won 4 and then 3 races, have parted company with him as soon as possible, tells you that there's something anti-social and unpaletable about MD. I watched plenty of the TT and NW200, thanks. My point was clear about him being a first rate rider, but also someone who has no respect for those that make sacrifices for him. He will give you a great chance of a win, but these teams have demonstrated that that isn't enough on its own.

RR » Dunlop confirms roads exit from BMW Motorrad

I can understand the BMW shift here. Honda probably felt the same way at the end of 2013. MD is a Heck of a rider, but the manufacturer will not get any coverage or enough feedback for their efforts, and it really isn't worth it for them. Guy Martin is the antithesis of that. No wins (yet), but he'll commend the team, bike and tyres when he wins. MD will skulk off and hint that it's him and nothing else. A position of sorts, but he'll end up scraping the barrel for a ride. Also if Guy wins on this bike, the after effects will be hard to estimate.

BSB » Brookes vows to prove he can be a ‘champion’

Bridewell has got third, but at no stage was he a title contender. We know that the yamaha was a mile off this year, yet Josh won races on it. Josh left a second rate suzuki bike behind this year, and we were able to clearly see what a hound it is at bsb. The yamaha might not hit the ground running next season, but the shootout will allow for it to be a title contender at end.

WSBK » Jonathan Rea to Kawasaki WSBK in 2015

Rea is a proven winner, but what we'll find out now is whether some of the weekends when he 'goes missing' is due to him or Honda. He has a great record at Assen, for instance, but there are other circuits where he'll scarcely get inside the top eight. I think he'll hit the ground running, but if he makes a championship next year, it's a big own-goal for Honda. They should've given him something in MotoGP in the interests of corporate face, if nothing else. I was a Tom Sykes fan until this year, but his rant at LB, then a strange post about undulating circits, followed up the the last 48 hours have dented that admiration. But he's no mug (well, in a manner....) and he'll not lack motivation to go along with his undeniable ability (check how many WSB points he's accrued in the last 3 seasons). The management of two top-level riders will bring its own challenges. Kawasaki might be asking Mercedes F1 for advice - that's how bad things are!!

WSBK » Rea set for final Honda appearance?

there's no new blade in the pipeline, just the endless artists impressions is mcn and the like showing a road going rcv213. yeah right! given how slow a customer honda is, you might be better with a cbr600 anyway. Rea has had some unfortunate injuries at inconvenient times, but the fireblade has been an embarassment for several year s now. If JR goes to Kawasaki and wins a world championship at the first time of asking, it will be a damning indictment on big-H's WSB efforts.
