HRC would give and treat Gresini worse than they treat the Roberts, LCR or Minolta teams combined if Max get signed...which would make Dovi and RDP number 3 and 4 Honda riders automatically...

If Fausto wants to end up at the bottom of hte HRC food chain instead of second then do it...otherwise he will just be throwing away his money...

He has probably waiting to get complete assurance that HE is the number 1 Honda rider and will get a bike and tyres for him and him alone...not for Nicky or any other Honda lightbulb, but one for Dani to Win the title on...He may also be cooking up a deal to get a factory support on his own 'team' on bridgestones in the same garage as nicky, like Max and Tamada did a few years back, while still getting number 1 rider status at Honda.

"Casey Stoner is coming along to watch. I think that he probably had an influence in the decision to ask me back, which is flattering." http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/62190 It helps to have friends in high places...

Chu, Chaz was a 250 privateer. This means he had to self fund the bike, the team, the travel, everything...and he could not raise the money, so his performances suffered. The only shot he got at a real team fell apart last year/this year, and so he jumped over the AMA and has done rather well. He will shock a few people if he get the D'Antin ride.

I think Ducati want to make Stoner as happy as possible, so they are willing to hire Casey's best friend to ride on the second factory team, and it helps that Chaz can ride the Ducati well anyway. Regarding the schedule, if you are going to part of GPs you have to get used to be here there and everywhere for the team, factory and sport!

If you want a real solution then get rid of Qualifying all together, and go by Average fastest times over the 4 practice session to set the grid. If you did this then the slower riders over the whole weekend would not be getting into the mixed with the consistently fast riders. Look at where Hayden and Pedrosa were all weekend before qualifying and race. They were way at the back at the grid and people like RDP were much much faster. So the Repsol boy became slow moving chicanes since they did not have the race pace at all this past weekend. And before you disagree go look up the analysis tables from the MOTOGP.com website.

'Has everyone out there forgotten he was Ductati's first choice last year?' Everyday, Livio is thanking his lucky stars, allah and santa claus that 'KY Jelly Kid' or the 'Hick' as I like to call him said NO to Ducati! :)

It took Nicky 4 years to get used to the 990s and win the title...so getting on the podium twice in 7 races for the 'whirled' champ on THE factory Honda is down to poor rider performance. At Nicky 990 pace he will get up to speed with the 800s in 2011. Yes, tyres are a factor but Dani and Vale have both had wins on the same black round Michelins as Nicky this year. Nicky will cease being champ as of Misano when he is mathematicaly out of the title hunt.

Good luck to him...and this is the best thing to happen to Ducati in 5 years besides hiring Casey Stoner.

Nicky will no longer have a mathematical chance at the 2007 title after Brno. After Sunday he will become the former MotoGP champion, and no longer be the defending title holder. Nicky will become an orange chicane for the 2007 champion to lap...
