MotoGP » Silverstone ‘turning point’ for Redding?

tuonogeorge: If you look at top speed the Suzuki has the same speed as SR bike,as for Ducati all on white tyres all faster than any other bike on the grid top speed wise.As for the weight thing the Dukes carry more fuel so they do not have to turn the wick down and can run at full power.SR probably is not able to do the same,Simoncelli had the same problem his bike was never quite as fast as the factory bike of which his was one.they put weight limit in moto2 because riders like Rabat were loosing to much weight to be deemed safe.
Simoncelli rode the bike well, was inside of the top 10 most races, challenged the front runners and got a podium (despite being a crasher and being bigger/heavier than Redding). Redding and Simoncelli shouldn't be compared. Oh, and Simo was a 250cc world champ. I suppose his height and weight didn't hold him back.

MotoGP » Silverstone ‘turning point’ for Redding?

Matt2: I want gonna post on this topic, but just have to. Its so funny when tere is still people who moan about the weight. Petrucci heaviest rider on the paddock, Baz tallest. Are they beating Redding? Petrucci yes, with 14.x Ducati and Loriz is really close with Open Yamaha. Reddings performance has been nothing if embarassment. Beginning 2015 “I could’ve gone to Ducati, and got average results” Now Redding hinted at his thinking at Assen, after a difficult weekend there. "When I think about what I could have had... " he had told us. Redding had in mind the very successful test he had with Ducati back in the summer of 2012, before he came to MotoGP with Gresini.
He's backpedaling considering that the writing is on the wall. Good post to call him out. Redding was spooked by the Duc, that's why he didn't take the ride initially.

MotoGP » Rossi given honorary BRDC membership

KneedownMuch: Read Trunkman's blog on MotoGP's obsession with Rossi. Rossi is bigger than MotoGP. Most of his fans watch for him and him only, they aren't fans of the sport and they don't respect the other riders. If one of them challenges him they are the enemy. Without Rossi at the front there is no race. It will be interesting to see what happens when he eventually retires, and how much the attendences drop when he's not there.
I personally think that is a load of rubbish.

MotoGP » Silverstone ‘turning point’ for Redding?

iamzombie: [ According to motogp.com: Scott weighs 78kg (172 lbs) 1. Lorenzo: 64 kg (141 lbs) 2. Rossi: 65 kg (143 lbs) 3. Marquez: 59 kg (130 lbs) 4. Ianone: 67 kg (147 lbs) 5. Smith: 67 kg (147 lbs) 6. Dovi: 67 kg (147 lbs) 7. Pedrosa: 51 kg (112 lbs) 8. Pol Espargaro: 64 kg (141 lbs) 9. Crutchlow: 70 kg (
The weight for Scott is wrong. I believe Matty posted his updated weight after he trained during the off season. Scott isn't 78kg.

MotoGP » MotoGP Brno - Race Results

VKal:
martin.mm.108: boring processional race, thank you JL, may Michelin forces you to treat racing not as time trial
MM had a run away victory in German GP, would you consider that as boring? I didn't hear anybody complain about that. What about Austin GP?
What? People always complain when Marquez runs away with the victory. Where have you been?

MotoGP » Rossi braces for ‘great fight’ with Lorenzo

99Bunny: And regarding 2010 as you think rossi could have won. How many races did he won till valencia. His sepang win would be his only one till his victory at assen in 2013.
You can't really claim that the post-accident results were the reflection of his "true" ability considering that he was still using crutches much of the time and healing his leg. Use some logical deduction here.

MotoGP » Pedrosa: It was a sh*t race

1972CZ250: I still wonder what happened to Marky's overly aggressive Honda engine that couldn't be tamed..I guess that swing arm was just a wonder fix...fixed erratic engine response when entering and exiting corners.. 4 races in they still couldn't figure it out even with electronics changes....If my job was based on wining a World Championship...well you figure it out....I'm not that easy....
I see where you're going with this based on previous comments. Maybe there's a fairly significant difference in Marquez's chassis configurations making the motor more easy to deal with when mated to the 2014 frame versus the 2015 frame. Without information it's hard to say.

MotoGP » Rossi given honorary BRDC membership

PaulW54: Maybe not but previous poster indicated there is. Interested to know who and if any other bike racers are members of this esteemed club. I would think at least Ago and Hailwood would get a go if Rossi warrants it.
Rossi is an ambassador in a way that no other motorcycle racer that preceded him was, or that a racer that came after him is. I don't know the BRDC's criteria for membership however. Tetley seemed to assert that there some other notables who hold the membership. I think a little research is in order Paul before you lambaste the group.
