MotoGP » Vinales: My best performance so far

ReaFan: i'm not the only one who thinks so, ask the riders who have raced with him, they all say he's the best they've ridden with. even some of the motogp who've actually battled with him in the race have said it. cause so far, he's been fast, consistent, and is yet to make a mistake on race day
Ok. We'll eventually see who's right. :) I started watching GP in 95/96. I have lost count of how many times a rider was touted to be the next Rossi or the next big thing. In that entire time, only Lorenzo and Marquez have managed to live up to the hype (and rightfully so, as they were both really dominant in the lower classes too). Stoner was successful, but he didn't enter the class with hype behind him. Pedrosa had deserved hype, he just has narrowly missed out on WC's.

MotoGP » Vinales: My best performance so far

F0ul: If anyone is going to challenge Rossi and his GOAT award, it will be this lad - he is brilliant!
He has a very, very, very long way to go to get anywhere near challenging any of the front runners, let alone Rossi. At this point it isn't even worth discussion. Good rider, but he needs to net quite a few WC's before we need to seriously consider that possibility.

MotoGP » Vinales: My best performance so far

Don't worry ReaFan, I won't hide from you if Vinales starts running the show in a couple of seasons, but I'm not holding my breath. Just like I'm not holding my breath for Miller or Redding, although I do rate Vinales as the better rider of the three. It's just far, far too early to be using Vinales and "GOAT" in the same sentence at all. There are a bunch of top notch riders that he needs to surpass (Lorenzo, Marquez, Pedrosa, etc.) before he can even begin to touch on anything Rossi has accomplished. Fabio Quartararo though.....that's who I'm watching. I reckon that he's going to have a fantastic career.

MotoGP » Lorenzo: We saved a difficult situation

VegasRyder:
Yearby23: It's funny how it takes 1 win to erase the fact that Jorge still has the most race wins this season...and the Rossi fans have once again written off Jorge...
Writing him off would be ridiculous and I haven't read any comments from anyone saying "jorge's chances for the title are over". So I'm not sure I see what your talking about saying rossi fans have written him off. Yes he has the most wins. everyone knows he has the most wins. But we also know who has the most points. Which is what dictates the position in the standings. Jorge lost the 13 title to MM with more wins.
Exactly.
