MotoGP » Pol Espargaro counts cost of ‘risky’ tyre move

BoZz: I might be wrong, but the replay shows he had his rear wheel off the ground while trying to take the corner indicating he had too much front brake. with the wheel off the ground that would tell me that's why he crashed. After all, you cant turn a corner with the back wheel in the air.
Your last point is generally true, BUT Marquez has tipped the bike in with the rear wheel off the ground multiple times. He's a on another planet though.

MotoGP » Valentino Rossi wins dramatic Australian MotoGP

VegasRyder: Winning a GP is a process that takes the entire weekend to accomplish. Everyone had the entire weekend to decide which tire to use in the race and how to ride, and set up the machine to run a good pace till the end. Rossi managed this feat and others did not. He earned the win 100% . Part of winning a race is choosing the right tire combo. If we go back and look at every time the winner chose a better tire/setup, then discredited the win by saying "oh he didn't deserve it, he only won because so and so had a bad setup, or made at bad tire choice, we would have to discredit a good percentage of every win in the history of GP. Nobody every has a perfect setup. It's all about getting it right and when a rider gets it right, like VR this weekend then that rider deserves the win.
Well said!

MotoGP » Frustrated Lorenzo rallies against ‘disaster’ tyres

Polyccio: I refute the dud tyre claim. The tyre degradation was a result of an unsuitable setup and cooking them in a futile battle with his team mate. Once the edge grip has gone, J-Lo tends to struggle as he depends on it for his sweeping high corner-speed style. Just my two penneth...
I agree. There were times where Lorenzo entered corners at full lean while Rossi was much more upright. Lorenzo's style cooked the tire. I don't think it was bad either. Rossi's style just aided tire management.

MotoGP » Frustrated Lorenzo rallies against ‘disaster’ tyres

gutbucket: rossi had a good race today but in reality he had no one to beat, pederosa out ,marquez out, and lorenzo limping home with a shagged tyre.no talk about the constructors championship, with yamaha closing down honda at a fast rate.
Pedrosa was so far behind that he wasn't even a factor. Rossi would've passed Lorenzo regardless. The only "gift" he received was MM crashing out. He wasn't the only one to benefit from that "gift". All of the people behind him did (..Lorenzo, Smith, Dovi, etc.).

MotoGP » Rossi rolls back years with ‘Island victory

salieri:
Evolution: Ceo of Dorna Said Three weeks ago that Rossi is the Pillar of MotoGp. I am Saying That VALENTINO ROSSI is the MOTOGP! Have to admit that he is Greatest motorcycle racer of all time.
When he can win a TT after a retirement of 11 years plus his world championships let alone multiple TTs or in fact any 'road' races perhaps then.... Surely if you're going to be acclaimed as the GOAT you have to be able to do it all? I'm not a Vale hater at all - I think he's a great rider and very good for promoting a great image for motorcycling but GOAT - probably not.....imho... I'll put my tin hat on now!!
Oh boy! Here we go.

MotoGP » Rossi rolls back years with ‘Island victory

Ausrossi: Jorge and Vale ran the same Tyre end of story, and Jorge couldn't stomach losing to the team no2. I think getting rid of burgess was a master stroke as he no longer believed vale could win. Also I got the impression Lynn Jervis was not enamored with Jlo attitude after the race.
I totally agree here. 2014 Rossi is doing significantly better than 2013 Rossi with Burgess. He needed the change.....psychologically or otherwise. It has paid dividends.
