F1 » Newey critical of new F1

Carefully worded and understated so he doesn't sound too radical, but he speaks the truth. All this money spent on development, design, manufacturing and production to produce a vehicle that burns less fuel. How much (carbon footprint-hate that term) energy went into all those processes in order to obtain a bit less fuel usage on 22 cars which operate approximately 7 1/4 hours each per race weekend? What benefit to the world? A bunch of fat cats can now run around with slogans on the junk they sell and proclaim to us peasants that Formula One is GREEN!!! Whoop Whoop ! Ain't we cool! We're just like you. We CARE! Hypocrites.

F1 » Bahrain Grand Prix preview

I read the radio transcripts for Malaysia, and one transmission was a team advisory to heed the 'fuel' light which tells the driver to lift when it illuminates to save fuel. I know this little tidbit doesn't exactly address the Borain (one hump or two, sir?) situation, but jeez, Get HAL out of the cockpit or stop calling F1 a drivers championship and just give the trophies to Bill Gates.

F1 » F1 in 2014 sounds ‘sh*t’ – Vettel

I don't care much for Seb. The fact that he got a prize for sportsmanship is like someone else I know getting the Nobel Peace Prize, but that aside, I appreciate his honesty. Although a 4 time world champion can get away with a bit more in bucking the establishment than less renowned drivers, I applaud him for going against the flow even though it probably won't sell more energy drinks He's right. The cars sound like my coffee grinder having sex with the electric can opener.
