MotoGP » F1 drivers divided on Rossi-Marquez controversy

Considering the Multi21 incident, it doesn't surprise me that Vettel would favor Rossi. Even if Marc was playing with Rossi (and I have my doubts about that) it doesn't excuse Rossi's actions. I saw a deliberate kick/push with his leg. It's subtle and I'm sure he thought he could mask the movement, but it's evident to me. Rossi started this whole mess on Thursday with his tasteless diatribe at the conference. Now he's at the back. Good.

F1 » Max Yamabiko: The options and challenges of closed-cockpits

If I were a driver in F1 I would be a whole lot more concerned about being trapped in an upside down car or one where the canopy jammed and a fire was spreading. This scenario is much more likely to occur than, what I consider, the remote possibility of an errant object striking me in the helmet. These are cars - not fighter jets. You can't blow the canopy and eject.

F1 » Hamilton: You rely on the team...

The closer the racing the more people will buy tickets etc. As is evident in other big-money sports, the outcome isn't necessarily dependent on the skill of the players but on the ingenuity and (lack of) integrity of those who run the event and who win/lose as a result of the competition. Just something to think about for those naive enough to think sport is pure.
