F1 » Hamilton: Plenty of work still to do

@ f1fan What I'm saying is exactly what I wrote, and that it is a bit disingenuous of the naysayers to start sticking the knife into Lewis already based on assumptions and lap times done in different conditions and on different fuel loads. What they seem to forget is that it is still a Mercedes Rosberg was driving, the same car Hamilton will have for the season. Now if it is capable of getting into the 1:19s, well, I guess we will know come May and the Spanish GP!

F1 » Hamilton: Plenty of work still to do

Oh, you naysayers. Rosberg was on a 1 lap flyer, so it stands to reason that he would go faster than Hamilton who was on a 5 lap run. To explain it to you it means Hamilton was fuelled heavier so would naturally circulate slower. To add to that Hamilton did his run in the morning on a green track after all the rain, whereas Rosberd had a nicely rubbered in track from all the running from Yesterday! Capisch????

F1 » Hamilton stays silent on future

@bob your naivety is entertaining but highly revealing. Hamilton ain't going nowhere. You actually believed what Eddie Jordan and his wig said about a move for Hamilton? Read subsequent articles on the matter on the BBC website and see how they have been furiously back-tracking ever since, although clumsily. The move was supposed to be IMMINENT. Tell me, how long is that? As for Button, even you know that he is slower than Hamilton who definitely does not give a toss about Dr Understeer. Heck, he is not even in the top 10 on the current grid. Hamilton will still be there at MacLaren next year going for a 3rd title while Button is "happy to be driving for a team like MacLaren!

Jenson, I suggest you focus on beating ALL the other drivers and win another title and not focus all your energy on Lewis. Your mentality shows that you have very low expectations for a title if you are satisfied by beating a teammate even though you are out of contention for the title, rather like last year gloating over coming second. News flash - there is no trophy for beating a teammate unless you win the title. So why not focus on that?

F1 » Perez: No contact from front-runners

That will not satisfy many with sinister agendas who have Perez, Heikki and Rosberg all replacing Lewis even if all of them have come out and categorically said there has been no contact from MacLaren. It's a good thing we are returning to the actual racing this weekend so we can watch the drivers do what they are actually contracted to do, and not why some don't smile a certain way in the same week that they have buried a much loved aunt, or even dare to breathe!

F1 » Lowe keen on unchanged McLaren

@ Bublz Your insights, given I'm sure in good faith, are however a little misguided. MacLaren have only managed a modest- and that's being kind - amount of championships in the last 20 years so I don't know how you qualify MacLaren being at the top. RedBull have done a lot, lot better than MacLaren in that regard over the same period and they are relatively young. But I'm sure you wont let that in the way of a little Hamilton bashing!

F1 » Alonso: We need to end McLaren run

Lewis is the in-form driver at the moment in the dry and my tip for the all important pole ahead of Button simply because the MacLaren has been consistently faster than the rest over one lap, and over 1 lap Lewis is better than Button. It should then be easy for Lewis to control the race from there to win, and will take a monumental effort frm Alonso to beat not only MacLaren but RedBull, Lotus and the newly upgraded Mercedes to avoid anybody eating into his lead!
