MotoGP » Hayden to test new spec Ducati after Misano

Ducati may be crap (at this time) but hey they are still a full factory outfit. They are still in the series when Suzuki and Kawasaki has pulled the plug. They still make up the grid without which there will be even lesser teams. Cut them some slack, it isnt easy going through what they are going through. I do hope someone comes along and bring them back to the front.

MotoGP » Lorenzo: One of the best races I've ever had

Great ride by Lorenzo. The final apex where he clipped the kerb was just masterful handling, coz he did it in a way that the bike maintained drive on the sprint to checquered flag. Thats was very hard manouver! And he lined MM up for the overtake very nicely. MM was always going to go wide on the flipside with his apex charge habit. Lorenzo let that go and waited for the flip, true enough MM couldnt close the door coz of his left charge earlier. Brilliant thinking by JLo

MotoGP » Rossi: I’ve never seen a rookie like Marquez

@Burro Amakusa, you're right, it wasn't a 'repsol' Honda but it was a full factory HRC effort with the majority of their most experienced technicians and engineers from the Doohan/Criville years In year 2000 when Rossi debuted in 500cc motogp, Criville was still racing. Rossi couldnt have had Criville's (ex-Doohan's) crew when he was still in the series, could he? Rossi's Nastro Azzurro satellite 'factory' status would be much like Bradl's team? Also, the champion was Suzuki's Kenny Roberts Jr. The question of machinery was negligible in 2 stroke era. I dont think KRJR was a fantastic rider, he was just very consistent. Rossi was riding like Marc is doing right now, but the 500cc wasnt very kind to rookie mistakes so unforunately Rossi was 2nd.
